Speaking of battle scars from curling irons: when I was in high school I had just finished my hair and left the curling iron on and sitting in the chair, I left it and went to get my clothes on. When I came back I forgot about it, I sat on it to put my socks on! It was horrible. I went to school I couldn't really sit properly, the wound was oozing through my jeans and sticking to it. The next day I went to the doctor, it was embarrassing to have to bend over and have her put cream on it. She was sweet though and tried to make me feel better by telling me she had a bad scar on her breast from dropping her curling iron. So it happens to us all. I think why it really happens is we aren't really thinking that something we use for our hair can actually be that HOT,right? Even though I wasn't thinking and forgot about my curling iron, I never thought in a million years it would have given me a third degree burn! I still have the bad scar but it's not that noticeable because it's right were the bum and the thigh meet. Be careful and aware. God Bless:)

I get this look with heartless waves method by twisting sections of my hair around a finger, securing with pins for 1hr then brushing smooth with a teasing brush. I Use hairspray and spray gel before twisting. The whole twisting takes only 10-15min and no heat to burn myself or my hair :-) love it.
