How To Reverse Dye A Purple Buffalo Brand Hoodie (Using OWB)

This tutorial is for an ice dyed Buffalo brand hoodie. I used Out White Brite to remove part of the color from a purple hoodie before ice dyeing it. I show and explain the entire process that I used.

I used OWB on a royal blue Gildan shirt and it turned blaze orange while in the OWB then turned back too blue after it was washed and dried. Wasn’t I surprised !

I think that one turned out very pretty! I've always been curious if you could use out white brite to reset garments that you weren't happy with the results of, or do you think there would always be a dye shadow left behind?

Thank you! I've not ever been able to get a shirt totally back to white, but I have been able to get it light enough to dye over. It's worth a try rather than throwing a shirt away.

Is OWB better than bleach?

If you can submerge your item I think so. It doesn't damage the fabric and it doesn't have to be neutralized.

@FunEndeavors yes I found out the hard way about not diluting my bleach haha on a pink shirt I spiraled and bleached half and dyed it and after the first rinse it looked like moths had eaten it hahaha experiment and learn right?

@@nowirehangers2815 It contains sodium metabisulfite, sodium hydrosulfite, and sodium carbonate. The sodium hydrosulfite is the reducing agent that removes the color.
