Ok I’m going to add a bag now. I have one cutting from an absolutely gorgeous cactus (the flowers are a pale white/violet color) and I don’t want to lose it! I think I planted too early and the roots shriveled up so I’m back to putting it in water. Fingers crossed! TYFS new subbie here Michigan USA ❤️🦋💜

Thank you for this video! I’m a newbie….. how long does it take a cutting to scab over, and what does it look like? I have been trying to propagate leaves w a stem that were broken off and they didn’t make it. It was like the stem was water logged 🙁…. So I was thinking I didn’t wait long enough for it to scab over. Thank you in advance with any help. ❤
@desertplantsofavalon Жыл бұрын
Hi there :-D it can take a week to ten days for the cuttings to scab over, the scab goes white and crusty, the wider the stem the longer its best to wait before trying to root or plant them, with woodier older stem cuttings it can take a month for them to fully scab over, good luck with propagation and thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a fantastic Thursday XXXX
