1:00 get wig wet and apply shampoo into the bowl 1:25 fill bowl of hot water with fabric softener and add conditioner 1:45 let wig marinate in there for 30 minutes 1:57 rinse with cold water once done 2:13 let wig air dry (overnight) 2:35 flat iron routine

I have to be honest, if I were to say that I believed this would work for my super overly dry wig, I would be lying. A China factory sold me bad hair, period and NOTHING works for how dry this hair is. BUT after I let this hopeless wig sit on the fabric softener and added a little oil and rinsed, I'm genuinely shocked. So much so that I had to comment on this video. I can run my fingers through it, I can't even believe it. GOD BLESS YOU TIFF 😢!

I got the same chi straightener for over a decade but in pink 😂 I’ve been using them for over 18 years and remember my first one that was black and it was ALL THE HYPE!! When my mom came home with that I was SO excited 😂😂 my first one I had for at least 8 years but I dropped it super hard by accident and it broken from human error and not the product failing 😂😂😂

So sorry for the late reply! But I recommend putting silicon mix on the hair for like 10 minutes and rinsing it out. That will have the wig SHINING🗣️🙌🏽!!

Yes you can with fabric softener like the OP mentioned… use it all the time for my synthetic wigs and it makes the house smell amazing too. A win win

@@whatsup9993 you boil your synthetic wig or just let it sit in hot water with fabric softener n conditioner? One girl boiled her synthetic an it was very hard to comb through once dry

@@christian-monet3725 I boil the water first and then turn it off so it’ll still stay hot.. while it’s still boiling I put in the fabric softener and stir that’s when I turn off the stove and I dip the wig. Every now and then I’ll keep the fire on low for a little while it’s in there. I keep it in for like 5 minutes and let it air dry and it’s always soft.

I tried this on a $20 discount human hair wig from Amazon (was on sale). I'm guessing the cuticles are mismatched because absolutely nothing I do gets rid of the frizz. I tried it with the fabric softener like in the video and it's 80% better than it was. So I guess if you have crappy cheap HH wigs like me, try fabric softener. This tutorial is definitely worth it.

A wax stick helps mold down the wig and gives it a flat, sleek look. Maybe start with the “ORS Wax Stick Styler” I’ve seen a few people use it and like it!💕
