You know when you first ever learned to ride a bike and going forward feels weird, you can’t balance, and then you fall. Learning to flakie going to feel the same way. If you had training wheels on your bike and just road backwards for 20 min just to get comfortable then took training wheels you would be able to flaikie no problem. Only thing is you don’t have training wheels, so go out there learn to ride a bike again (except in reverse) you are going to fall, so don’t clip/strap in when you practice save yourself the pain. You got this cheers

I don't have a dominant foot, I always practice both feet (in skating as well) I always ensure I'm equal on both sides, Like being goofy or regular, new skaters/cyclists are actually capable of doing both it just takes a little more focus, but allows full freedom of direction.
@FOADGang

That's awesome! Definitely very useful to be able to do both!

Bro i got my fakie down and ive been trying to slider for a week still havent got it without putting my foot on the ground, hope you figured it out after 3 years lol
@petspetsify
@petspetsify 5 ай бұрын
@@joshuaslobodnik3942Yo, my sliders are solid now! Now it feels natural, but I was so lost in the beginning to understand the dynamics. Better fakie also helped a lot. The slider is much easier with solid fakie and proper speed. Go with the momentum, shift your weight back quickly when initiating. You can also force it by pulling the handlebars harder when initiating the slider. It is all about not loosing the momentum when sliding the rubber on the ground so more speed really helps. Putting the foot on the ground is a matter of commitment I believe. Good luck brother!
