Love pre jumps, I learnt by dropping in at the skatepark and now try to do it all the time. More speed and fun without having to pedal..

Saw chris filming this in Longleat/Cannimore Woods near Warminster. He was pushing up a downhill singletrack I was trying to ride.....naughty lol Still a thumbs up mind. More vids filmed here on natural trails please

Pushing up his ebike, must have been steep or tricky unless he was staying near the edge so he could move out the way for said rider. Walking up the trail helps you pick your lines too.

Love the natural trails, great advice for line picking etc, the only time you might have a problem is when following other riders, you can't see 5 bike lengths in front and end up heavily relying on the line chosen by the rider in front, even then you're not sure whats coming up, any advice on this ?
@AlexNijv6 жыл бұрын
You have work hard. You've to look far in front of you to look where to go and what to expect, but in technical parts also direct in front of you, and sometimes it isn't possible to look far ahead. But always always look where you want to go, because that's where you will end up.

If you are relying on others lines you're to close. In some situations it's difficult but slow down a bit to back off and if they aren't in your group ask to pass at their convenience.
@midlifebiker74246 жыл бұрын
My advise is to stay further back so you arent following their line unless you want to video them or you want a tow off a drop or jump. If I know the trail and tricky features then i can ignore the front rider otherwise I give a bigger gap. Its good to session stages too and try different options. Hope you are well buddy...I see how you go in your next vid 😉

Ye, thanks for the replies guys, keeping my distance is the obvious answer but forgot to mention that i'm also filming the guy in front haha, i guess i can't have it both ways :)

But... airtime costs time. More wheel contact on ground can speed up your ride, saving a few seconds. Ofcourse airtime is saving time when your avoiding roots and rocks. Good video.

Pre jumps when dropping in increases your speed alot. The pros are always bouncing up and down to clear small obstacles but it does take more leg power.

What the heck is a "natural" trail? All trails are created by someone/something, no such thing as "natural" trail.
@MilatovichFamily6 жыл бұрын
Not offese, but ebikes should be banned from natural trails because they are hard on environment. Though I tried my cousins e city bike and I like it, it is nice to go to work in the city etc. Not good for offroad or use specific emtb made trails instead.
@Asthbendriel6 жыл бұрын
that depends a lot on the country I guess. Here in Costa Rica some of the natural trails are also frequented by motorcycles, and an e-bike is never going to be harsher than a motorcycle for the trail, all the opposite, the extra weight and stability would likely make some very irregular trails easier.
