Jon is the man! When I was competing in IFSA and JFT he was always someone I looked up to!

Great tips regarding terrain awareness - apart from the helmet it can't hurt to add a reminder to carry full safety equipment including shovel, probe, beacon and know how to use it and to not ride alone. interesting detail: in Europe "outbound" or backcountry starts as soon as you leave the maintained slopes and the ski resorts don't take any accountability for avalanche safety in those areas. this is different from the US

Tip #11: don't use your favourite board in early or late season 😀

That is a great tip! Many hearts get broken because of not knowing that advice haha

Loving the focus on safety. Maybe also follow up with some basics on avalanche awareness. Even though a lot of the theory is easier to teach on snow than online, reading about some of the incidents we've had here in Norway this year and observing the line choices some people make, I think there's a big lack of knowledge about the absolute basics around.
