The Float 'N Fly is SO EFFECTIVE in the gin clear Lake Michigan waters of the boat harbors on Chicago's lakefront!!!

when using a really long leader... it helps to have a bait/lure that's heavy enough to pull down thru the bobber... maybe put a split shot on the tip of the fly...

I like the rubber stoppers

I have issues with them catching on my guides and the line guide on my reel when I cast. I like them if I'm using a shorter leader but, can't figure out how to use them with a longer one. What brand are you using- if you don't mind me asking.

One of the things I’m unsure on is matching the size of the Thill Pro Series Slip Bobber Float with the fly size. Does the 5/8” Slip Bobber pair with a 1/16 oz. fly, and a 7/8” Slip Bobber pair with an 1/8 oz. fly?

So what's the trick to fishing it? Let it sit or work it as any other jig?
@TackleWarehouse3 жыл бұрын
It's great to experiment with both techniques! Often if there is enough chop on the water from wind or other factors, that alone imparts enough action. If the lake is particularly calm, it can be beneficial to work the jig. This presentation is commonly used in Winter when the bite is challenging and fish are lethargic, so less action can be the goal. We hope this helps! - TW Staff

Why use a bobber stop instead of a small swivel and dedicated leader?
@dean49393 ай бұрын
You can adjust the bobber stop to increase or decrease the leader length. with fixed swivel you cant.
