Thanks for making this! Thought it was tougher than you make it look! Great tutorial

Awesome video! I"m all over it and ordering now. PS. You look from BEHIND the object. So, you're running the line through the LEFT side of the lure. I was always told to run it through the right side hole - looking down on the spinfish from the top view.

The weight of eight beads at eight millimeters, plus two 4/0 hooks weighs ( depending on the type and style of the hooks) are around 3.80 grams. Brad's Super Bait weighs dry at 8.55 grams, so at what weight ratio do the two begin to spread for the hooks to become ineffective? Plus, it would matter trolling speed and how much bait a person uses to stuff into a Super Bait. I'm glad you made this video because I never would have though to think about spin mechanics. Very enlightening.

drop it boat side and take a look, I always look at my Brads like I do a herring, sometimes a piece of tuna is hanging out and it doesn't spin right.

I do the same setup but i put the tubing inside the rubber band. It stops me from losing rubber bands and holds the hooks directly behind the superbait. It also cuts down on the hooks swinging around while the bait rotates.

Egg loop on top hook with main line threaded through rubber band keeping band in egg loop. Positions hook perfect and can't lose the band.

FYI: In Idaho there is a max hook gap of 5/8", roughly 2/0 hook size. Don't get in hot water by running 3/0 or 4/0 if you fish in Idaho.

Great information. Thank you. Everyone be sure to check your local regulations before you go out.

As of July 1, 2024, this rule has been rescinded. I confirmed this directly with IDFG. Rules brochures are being redone to reflect this, but have not been published yet. (See page 41). So no more hook size limit!

Over and over again people figure out my ideas I've been doing for years. I started doing this with bobber stops and later on tubing and hoochies.

You crazy if you don't run that treble hook up top in the garage on the original superbait

Call me crazy. :)

All that treble does is get caught in the net. Not worth the hassle.
