What size weight and depth (water depth and line counter depth) are you fishing for those coho?
@VIPOutdoors124 күн бұрын
Weight is always the same, 16oz. Water depth varies based on water temp and bait fish but line counters are always set from 15-30 in the morning and 25'-55' when the sun comes up.

You need a size Limit that's for sure those are way to small of ling cods. If you had a size limit then you would get some nice size ling cod like in Puget Sound! and lots of big lings.🎣

@@VIPOutdoors1 26in" to 36in" average size this season was 30in" to 34in" and a load of over size this season. we rarely get small ones under 26in" and the season is only May 1st to June 15th that's what sucks in Puget Sound!🎣

In that video we are using the Daiwa Proteus WN 76HF. Great rod, but very heavy. Another great option with great power but a lot lighter is the EDGE HLR 7630-1

Hey there really enjoy your show and just subscribed to your channel, do you ever notice super baits not spinning very freely, should I back off to 25-30 lb test line? Thank you for the info!
@VIPOutdoors1Ай бұрын
Thank you. The lightest I go is 30# when using Super Baits. I can see if you were using the mini cut plug, lighting the line could help. Especially in scenarios when fish have a lot of pressure.

@VIPOutdoors1Ай бұрын
I use this set up in multiple rivers in Oregon. I dont know why it would not work in the Sound, but have never experienced it so I cant say that is does or doesn't.
