How To Rig Live Mullet (UNDERWATER VIEW)

Predator fish are usually sitting in one spot, waiting for an easy meal to swim by.
If you’re using artificial lures, you’re making a ton of casts and covering lots of ground, so chances are you’ll eventually get lucky and find that one spot.
But what if you’re using live bait?
Most people just throw their bait out and hold on, waiting for a bite.
If you’re in the right spot, you might catch some fish, but you’re probably missing out on a lot of BIG fish.
Instead of tossing your bait out, closing the bail, and waiting for a bite, you need to get your bait to go out and find the predator fish for you.

This is the only way to really cover ground with live bait it seems. Wish this was part of the live bait course. And more tips were used for finding fish with live bait.

Literally never knew to hook pilchards threw the belly under the fin always hooked em threw the nose which worked I caught fish but hooking under belly works so much better I’ve caught double snook on my flats trips and is so good fishing for king/Spanish mackerel appreciate you guys and these underwater vids 👌

Could try a Carolina rig. The 12-18inch leader let's the mullet swim freely but it's enough tension he won't come to surface. You won't cover much ground but it's a natural presentation.

Actually, on a still water (no/low wind) day that's the best thing that can happen. When they swish their tail at the top it's like a dinner bell for the big game fish. I will "coach" my mullet to hang out at the top on still water days.

Tbh, if your going to use live bait I really wouldn't unless you need to cast really far out to a sandbar or something. If that's the case add a splitshot and that *should* be fine
