Hi. Yes you can use the APF with the standard mast. We have done it a bunch at REAL. With any really high span foil, the stiffer the mast the more that each pump will translate into forward motion and speed.

I'd love to know the story behind the different colored anodized screws on the bottom of the foil... (3:57)

That is a treatment they are doing to their screws to reduce corrosion. They have this crazy corrosion machine in their factory that they can test different materials and coatings. The new colored screws just hold up better for longer.
