I've been doing my own maintenance for over 60 years but it never hurts to view a refresher video. I like the way you speak slowly and show every step in great detail. A lot of videos just fly through the process and if they run into a problem or make a mistake they edit that footage out. The problems you run into are likely ones that I will also experience. Anyone can do these procedures in a perfect world. I get a lot out of seeing how you work around things that don't go as planned. You sound like you are from Boston. I am OFD (Fields Corner).

@@TwoWheelRocco You're very welcome. You have one of the better Harley wrenching channels on youtube. NYC (Manhattan) is a great place to visit for the weekend and I used to take the train to concerts in Flatbush and at the Apollo in the early 60's. Great food! Hate the Yankees of course. Ran into a few Ching-a-lings in my travels. Good guys. Real Bikers one and all.

Thanks did this today on my 2004 RoadKing! Just want to say use a box wrench like he has and you will have no problems. I marked the bottom so when it turned I could see it on top. Great video!

Thanks Rocco! The last time I took my derby cover off I used my impact driver and it worked like a charm. I have stripped the torx head before and it's a pain to get them out.

Hey Rocco another great video. Random question on my ‘02 sporty. Would you recommend oil level being halfway on the dipstick when the bike is standing up straight or on the kickstand?
@TwoWheelRocco
@TwoWheelRocco Жыл бұрын
Thank you for all your support Matt. I like it straight up, minimizes oil buildup in your air filter. Ride safe and have a great day.

Happy to help. Yes it's the exact same fort all big V twins. They operate the same way. Thank you for watching. And all your support Joe. Most times it does not need an adjustment. But it's good to check. Cable stretches. Clutch wears and see how you like it. Let us know how this works out.. Ride safe and have a great day.

What kind of jack is that? Tough to find one low enough to fit under, that also holds big bikes steady and allows access to drain plugs

Hello Rocco. I just picked up a 2009 Road King without h 2,500 miles. Bike is beutiful, but sounds like a ball peen hammer hitting side of primary cover as I shift gears. Maybe just needs to have oils changed? Anyway, thanks in advance for any ideas. Best regards
@TwoWheelRocco
@TwoWheelRocco Жыл бұрын
Happy to help. Sounds like a compensator. Open up the primary cover and take a look in but of course doing oil change first see what the oil looks like. But the conference is probably the culprit. I'll send you a video on compensated noise. Thank you for watching and all your support Dr.prepper. Ride safe and have a great day.

@@doctorprepper5196Put a few heat cycles and change the oil. that don't have much miles on it for the year. it could straighten itself out. compensating could be dry. Sat for a long time. Not many miles.

2009 Road King seems hard to get into Neutral and creeps forward some. Does that mean the clutch needs to be readjusted ????
@TwoWheelRocco
@TwoWheelRocco Жыл бұрын
Happy to help. I would adjustment pin at the hub. You don't have enough FreePlay and that's why it creeps. It's always slightly engaged. And shifting into neutral as a problem. Thank you for watching and all your support Scott. Ride safe and have a great day. Let us know how it works out.
