How to root Collard Greens | How to plant collard greens | With rooting hormone Vs. WITHOUT hormone

In this video, I will show you how to root/propagate and plant store bought collard greens. I will also compare the results of collard greens propagated with a rooting hormone with ones propagated without a rooting hormone.

Thank you for noticing. The stalk is longer on the second video because the longer the plant sits in water, the leaves closer to the water begin decomposing and have to be gradually removed, hence the stalk appearing longer. Also, this is why the container in the first video is wider to accomodate the plant, but in the second video , I changed the container to accomodate the longer stalk as the plant grew/rooted.

I am at a disadvantage. The stores do not sell collards with the stalks attached. Unless I can root leaves then I don't have a chance because I also want to start my garden and it is the last days of summer. I live on the east coast in the DC area. Autumn is in two days. This is just the way things are happening for me and not that I have procrastinated. I hope like in my wildest dreams I can work something out and the weather will cooperate with me. I may buy some organic collard greens and rooting hormone and see if I can root the stalks of the greens. What do I have to lose? Thank you for your video. you have given me hope. 🤸🤸‍♂🤸‍♀☀

If you can not find collards with stalks in the store, find a community garden or farmers market (out of season now) they may have a whole stalk of collards
