I guess you skipped the part where you installed TWRP? I can't install that because I can't unlock my bootloader. I've tried every video on youtube and set my date back etc. Nothing works. How do you get TWRP on to your phone?

Depends if you have a exynos in developer settings you will find the options ( you will need to reset evrrything in your phone) If you have a snapdragon all I can say well shit..

@@johnm8078 yeah but hear me out i have root on my s9 ( custom method) it dosent make a big difference.. and it can make even the phone worse not that beacuse of security reasons or other shit..(the basic rule is if a app dosent need root to work but it wants dont give it) the problem is that many apps dont wanna work with root installed.. So in a nutshell root is pretty complicated to install and is only beneficial IF you use at its full power otherwise DONT bother

@@ninjaride1312 Thanks for the info. It's very helpful. At the end of the day I'm just trying to make my phone as private as possible. I don't think that's really possible other than getting an old flip phone for my actual phone and then a small tablet for everything else. I use either brave or tor browser. I have VPN installed, I disabled all my location history etc. I want to debloat and de-google my phone basically but I think you're right that I will just make it worse or not work with many of my existing needed apps.

I bet you did not, another thing the location yes apps will know your locatio BUT they will only care about your State to know in which launguage to give you the ads. Now about relevant ads that everyone is sayin, its just an automated bot system no human does or cares or wants to look at everyone and what they are doing. Trust me dont bother about privacy the gps just keep it off, and about vpn they are useless just like root if you dont use them for their purpose. IP = Location not true at all. BUT ip can equal state or city yes that is possible but what? A middle aged man will look for someone in an entire city? =)) just beacuse they have their ip lets be real for a second but if you enter some shady place you can get dossed bassicly no more network for you but there is an extremly easy solution: Unplug and replug your router y e s easy as that. So again in nutshell privacy is not like in ads dont bother no human even cares about listening to you. At the max some automated apps bases on what you search on aliexpress for example will show relevant ads but JUST that. Trust me dont even bother
