( my quant experience, sorry a bit long 😅) I took the GRE 29 November 2021-and It’s now official! 326 ( 160Q/ 166V) 4.5 AWA First attempt. Lets just say I survived the carnage! Quant was a living-breathing-evil-entity. I came to the test with the intention of showing off my newly acquired math skills but It became apparent quickly that it was the test that was going be showing off . Some of the questions were completely bizarre. I had to read them twice to even begin to comprehend what they were asking let alone avoiding potential traps . Watching Philip’s quant videos and learning how to approach many of the problems I believe made all the difference. I don’t think I could have pulled through without having practiced certain techniques :they are all here dispersed throughout this channel. Brute force does not work for this test. Unfortunately I was not able to finish 2 of the 3 quant sections ( QVQVQ) due to a personal joust with some of the questions. Nevertheless, I resolved not to despair until the 4 + hours were done and managed to squeeze out a 160 phew! 😅.I’m happy because I was never really a math person to begin with and 160 is a tremendous improvement from my starting point .So thank you Philip!! I could not have done this one without you for sure ! Best-tutor-ever ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much for sharing your story Cardi. My ultimate KZbin student, and comment record-holder. 326 is an amazing score, you should be so proud. I loved your comment about a personal joust with some of the questions! Hopefully you stay around for the occasional video. The comment section would not be the same :)

@@TheTestedTutor I’m not sure which one I’m happier about: the GRE score or being a pinned comment on the channel 😁 I will absolutely stick around, I couldn’t be blasted out of here . I never want to loose the knowledge I’ve gained through this process. Besides I have title to defend 😎

The second question with the coffee chain… the lower limit when you multiply… 24,550(.0715) = 1755.325 not 1775.325 … so in that case what should we do … please let me know

There's a mistake in 2nd math. Lower boundary calculation should be 24550 x 0.0715 = 1755.325. Hence answers will be the first 6 numbers.

It bothers me that these videos don't have as much likes as the views. I mean, it's the least we could do 💚. I feel like just watching these videos and practising places you on a solid path to acing the GRE. Be taking the exams on a month.

🎯 Key points for quick navigation: 00:28 *📚 The video will address common confusion about rounding with three progressively difficult questions.* 01:12 *🔍 Many students struggle with identifying the maximum possible percentage for rounding to the nearest figure.* 01:52 *📉 For calculations, use the figures 1.5% and 2.5% as lower and upper bounds despite rounding implications.* 03:18 *🔢 Calculating lower and upper bounds helps determine valid options for the number of employees fired.* 05:20:00 *💡 Use a simple method for setting boundaries in rounding: divide the rounding figure by two.* 06:43 *🧮 When determining upper and lower bounds, adjust the specific figure by adding and subtracting half of the relevant rounding unit.* 08:25 *✅ Correct answer choices for range-based questions rely on values within calculated boundaries.* 09:18 *🚚 For calculating distance rounding, leverage the mentioned method to find the distance range.* 10:10 *🚀 Maximum speed involves the maximum possible miles in the minimum possible time.* 12:46 *🔄 Calculate the speed difference between maximum and minimum speed, rounding to the nearest integer as needed.* Made with HARPA AI

Great videos, I have rounding question, cant seem to find this specific case. Bit confused about GRE rounding rules. If we are asked to round to the nearest 10th what would this number be: 129.248? 129.2 or 129.3. Do we first round the 1000th to hundred and then to the tenths on the gre

Sorry, I found my mistake, I messed up in the last "difference" step. its 47 - 40.83 = 6.17 not 7.83 😞 Max speed and Min Speed is very important here, and diving 5 into half is also imp!
