I just started doing film photography and I’m glad this video exists because I just found out that the film wasn’t advancing properly the entire time that I was using it

I F&#$%ing love this video. Can't tell you how many rolls I've F&@*-up. Also F&#% lens caps on range finders.

Putting down my fuckups with film 1. Only fuji pro 400h I could ever get was when I started and I wasted due to incorrect loading 2. Point and shoots have failed on me so many times dying down halfway through a roll 3. Broke a roll somehow trying to rewind a roll too hard 4. On a special vacation had problems with high shutter speed shots as I had not tested the camera fully 5. Buying battery dependent cameras which somehow always fail 6. Finally scolding my kid who took it out by unspooling a 120 roll after I shot it

nooooooo the pro 400h is so sad, that's one of my favorites

I mostly shoot with late-model auto-everything SLRs, which guard against a lot of the potential mistakes. It did not, however, stop me from shooting over a roll I forgot I'd already exposed.

I'm also never going to think that I have fully loaded my film onto the spool for the developing tank without actually fully loading the film onto the spool of the developing tank. Only a numpty would make that error!

It's great to see a creator who not only has total faith in his audience but can produce a bulleted list to prove that faith is based in solid experience.

I'm going to come back here and update every time I do one of these. Just now unlocked the achievement "Nuke a roll of film because you thought it was unloaded"
@RudolfWolphАй бұрын
WEW I've done those! Still have a roll of Fuji Pro 400H that I "shot" and wound back into the spool when that stock was still available. Retrieved the leader and it has been in the freezer, but I don't know what to shoot with it now that I can't get any of it new.

I remember when I got my first film camera, I was like "A film speed reminder? Yeah, okay. Like people are just gonna forget what film they have in there". I forget almost immediately.

I never take notes. I only regret it when I'm shooting at night and trying to figure out what to expose for. That's about my only mistake with film over the past 5 years, so far.

I keep on trying to take close ups on polaroid

Pretty bold of you to make these assumptions about my photo habits....

This is hilarious and I've definitely made some of these mistakes, this is how we all learn and there shouldn't be any shame from it! Great job :)

I would call this one a "feel good video" 😅 or even a "feel better video" ! Thank you !!!

This video gave me anxiety

But if photography isn't about fart sniffing, then why do my portra farts smell so good?
@SweetLouPhotographyАй бұрын
Do portra farts come from eating the roll of film??
@nickloproАй бұрын
@SweetLouPhotography technically. I mean you just drink the pre soak. So I guess it's just the dyes
@knoptopАй бұрын
Dang, I was here for the fart sniffing

I have an Olympus Pen (OG) and I always seems to F*** up my focus and I can't seem to keep still for the life of me when I shoot... Also that Kodak Nothing 800 would make for a good merch lol.
@SweetLouPhotographyАй бұрын
what a devious idea for a shirt lol-- thanks for watching!! Also, real mature I know but I also call that camera the Olympus Penis lol
@Poorgeniu5Ай бұрын
@@SweetLouPhotography I can imagine the shirt having a helpful checklist that is basically the outline of this video.
