@@agnidas5816 @Agni Das It's very possible. In fact, it happens all the time for this time range. As a complete new and unexperienced 13 year old, I went from 32 to 25 minutes in the 5k in 1 XC season. So, I feel sorry for your limiting self beliefs. I don't know who hurt you in the past but I hope you have a great day.

@@agnidas5816 certainly difficult from like 22 to 17 minutes. but in one season, just over two months, I actually went from 24:22 to 19:51. so 30 minutes to 25 minutes in 2 months is certainly possible with the effort

After having failed a sub 1hr 9K in an aquathlon in preparation for a triathlon, I'm adjusting and wanting to try to challenge a sub 25 5k, as I can already do a 30min 5K as a tempo workout with rest inbetween, I'll be doing this by the end of July, will follow this training plan (adjust a bit to fit with my studies and other life commitments), and update when I do my TT. Thanks for the video!

What are your thoughts on 1:1 work to rest ratio for intervals? For example, running 3:30 for 800m and then resting 3:30 instead of 90s to get a faster pace?

I clocked 29:00 min to complete 5 kms. But the track wasn't flat. It was a hilly road with slope and curves. Will i be able to clock under 25 min at a flat track?

Hi coach Jason. I am 56 years old man. I weigh 115 pounds and I can do 5K in 25 minutes. I've never run before. I would be happy to know from experts how well I am doing it. I have achieved it in a few months by managing my respiratory rate. I think that could be part of the key. In addition, I usually drink red wine every night. What do you think?

Is running twice a day morning and evening recommended or just one a day do five days running.
@EricPeelMusic2 жыл бұрын
I just run a 5k every other day with even splits. And each run I attempt to beat the previous run by 5s per mile. If I can’t do that by the last couple ks, I let myself run the same time as my last run.
I don´t have any plan. I just run and sub 25 is easy for me. I guess it is genetics. I am 49 years old. 187 cm tall and between 85 and 87 kilos and I can run quite easily under 25 minutes even though i sleep shit, eat shit and drink shit. I run about 15-20 km every week and I have done it since two months back. I had a break for two months due to Covid-19 but nevertheless I guess I am just a lucky man. :-) But I realize that most people can not have the strategy that I have and I realize that I am in a minority.
@vladoholic8497 Жыл бұрын
Update. I am turning 51 in a couple of weeks and now I weight between 90 and 93 kilos and half of the weight gain is by building muscles but I sleep better and I eat little better. I struggle though to run under 27 minutes nowadays because I had issues with my right knee since a year back and the reason that I cut down the running by at least 70%.
