Thank you. I watch the webinar before Christmas on 2018’s Facebook algorithms and interface that has changed. I started a nonprofit for depressed and suicidal you and our public page has gotten less views than the lead band singer’s private wall who is a single mom. I was told by someone that the admin for five pages that it’s not worth investing in and when I read the advertising conditions with Facebook it was very open ended and they could use your money for the first two or three days if they wanted. It also disappeared of how many people we could reach if we boosted a post. I was specifically looking on KZbin for some updated information about Facebook‘s new algorithms and interface that has changed drastically actually hindering people when they post and not giving out how many people they can reach before they actually invest . I was going to post my post for a dollar a day for two months prior to the fun raiser but then they fed cat and checking the box and checking higher rate and then the amount of people reached disappeared off my wall and said was unavailable. I have reached out to them several times with print screenshot reporting bugs in the bugs have not been fixed mostly . When they fix the bugs that are prevalent on the pages and the Facebook profile I might consider investing more. If you can do an updated video since this was from 2016 that might be insightful. Thank you !

I don't even tick on targetting settings I straight up to budget but gives me this issue.. Please need 😣 help..

I am already a super Fan Kim ;-) . So for google adwords you suggest with your own brand when you starting out, its not a good way to advertise. But when i am affiliate for already a trusted brand company like say Amazon or Walmart. It will be a better choice to go with google adwords because they know the brand and know where they looking for and they will more in a buy modus?
@KimJimenez7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Wesley! And great question. When it comes down to affiliate marketing you probably want to focus on driving as much traffic as possible and since I know you are going to be doing content marketing and not direct marketing, I would still recommend starting with Facebook Ads. It's way easier to use and a lot less expensive. :)
@WesleyBorgmans7 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks Kim,yeah it is not my meaning to do that for my blog and the content marketing i will be doing. But i am thinking outside the blog and the niche where i am in now. So, in the next year i will like to learn advertising with Google Adwords because i am planning to go at evening school for 5 weeks here in Antwerpen about that. Maybe doing some direct marketing for a affiliate company like selling clothes or something different . Just a second income stream .

I'm so sorry about that, Emma. Our link redirects were not working properly but they should now. I use my iPhone 6s to shoot my videos and a basic lighting kit + natural light from a bay window. For a microphone, I use the Rode SmartLav+ for Facebook Live videos but you can use the mic on a good pair of headphones. :) For a full list of the gear, I use you can check out my Amazon store (the link should be working now) kimberlyannjimenez.com/gear

It just depends on your budget. If you have a limited one, try it over 7-10 days. :) They key is experimenting until you hit a great hook that resonates with your audience and your budget will work itself out.

Hi Kim, Good work. I'm glad I gave you a chance b/c I thought initially you were doing a hair commercial. (That's a compliment.) Anyhow, I'm an older newbie to online marketing/fb. What's the best order to do this? business email; business fb acct.; fb ad; website; way to pay for the product on lin; wat to accumualate websites (funnel); etc. If you could create a checklist it would help me a lot. I am marketing a physical once-in-a-lifetime type of product. Thanks, Greg Wolf (Pittsfield, MA so you can locate me on fb)

@KimJimenez6 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the delayed response but heck no. Every communication channel has a lifespan and email marketing has definitely matured in that the data is not as high as it used to be due to oversaturation but is it dead? Absolutely not. It's still the most profitable communication channel by far.

if a random guy came up to you and offered you his porsche for a dollar you'd probably buy it. advertising is about the right product correlating with the right market not getting to know each other. if you're selling what people want to buy they're going to buy it plain and simple. i didn't finish watching this video but what ur saying about introducing urself to the buyers is irrelevant in my opinion. yeah it's not a bad thing to do but i don't really see it as a strategy for anything.
@KimJimenez6 жыл бұрын
I totally respect your opinion but the example you noted above is obviously not what happens in the real world. The notion that selling what people want to buy is all you need to be profitable is an extreamly outdated business mentality that's both limiting and irrelevant in today's marketplace. Try that approach online and you'll pay 4-5 times more for each sale. Sure, if you discount a product enough, you'll make more sales but selling more product doesn't automatically equal more profits. It's 2017 and in this era, people have more buying choices than ever before which is why brands who stand out invest significantly in client relationships which in turn, impacts their sales significantly. Google, GE, Chase, Amazon, Apple, to name a few top players are all in the relationship marketing game. We're witnessing a completely new era with the boom of online commerce and brands can either adopt a new approach or die.

The only thing that matters is moving people through a funnel using multiple brand touch points...although I got lost in alot of things that give me an insane edge now and no it wasnt the audience... the world is more complicated then you think😭🤣

You are talking about people getting to know you and your brand first, what if you don't have your own brand but have a website and do affiliate, does it still work the same way? Somebody? :-)
@KimJimenez7 жыл бұрын
Yep it does work the same way. If you don't have a ''brand'' yet, start creating one. :) Does that make sense?
@PetraHeylen7 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed, so if you are a blogger and do affiliate, people have to get to know you as the person behind the blog and start trusting you to buy your affiliate programs? :-)
@KimJimenez7 жыл бұрын
Exactly! And that trust begins with showing them goodwill via your content. So if you are a blogger and you want to build trust #1. Make sure you only promote affiliate products/programs/services you love and use. #2. Show your audience the value of purchasing those products by sharing tips, tutorials or your personal experience so they can get better use out of those products. Then, turn that content into an ad. :)
