I actually got really involved in my local democratic party a couple years ago. and I kind of relate to some of those folks who were complaining to some of you guys saying oh you could do more or you should talk about this or that. and I'm at the point now where those folks need to get off the couch and go find your local democratic party and just show up. you would be absolutely shocked at how easy it is. You gain credibility really quickly. And just in the two years that I've been doing it, I became a precinct captain which gave me some voting power for my country's leadership. and I'm also my township chair now. So I guess my message is just that there's so much more people could be doing than complaining on Twitter all the time and it's driving me nuts. well you know I'll tell you something. Interestingly, you brought that up. because I think we had a conversation sort of like this yesterday that you know from my perspective and I think I said reformation of the democratic party. Which I mean literally means displacing the leadership and replacing the leadership. And I I you know when you go through like the the the last two weeks of the supreme court was the culmination of sort of it was like you know like that delayed kidney punch type of situation from the election of Trump. and in many respects the depression and the reorientation that had to happen after trump struck again. right? because we are now there. the supreme court has basically announced we're not going to slow-walk this. we're going to in fact you know we're gonna gobble up as much as we can at this point. and and and and and and so I personally like that I am in a period of sort of saying like you know what is the best functioning of the show going forward. at least in this era and this period. I mean it shifts at different times. and it has over you know 12 or 18 years however you want to measure it. and one of the things I think that I've been thinking about is the idea of encouraging people and giving people a sense that they can run locally. and provide those resources.

I'm unsure if it will work, but it's one of the few if not only peaceful routes I can see forward, third parties don't stand a chance if they cannot even get on the ballots, so we have to overtake one of the two major parties, we aren't going to take over the republican party, there is no trust in anyone who identifies as a republican with the left, and the Dems party is already more aligned with the left in general, there's a better chance of taking it over. All peaceful options must be explored and exhausted before we resort to violence, but if this doesn't pan out at all, then it looks more like violence is the only real option remaining.

All politics is local. I was a grassroots professional political organizer for 20+ years. I enjoyed helping candidates pursue public office. Organizers can make a difference in a candidate’s success. They are literally the foundation of the ground game. The development of digital communication makes organizing easier than ever when you have a good game plan to resolve the issues people really care about. Office holders and political organizations haven’t even scraped the surface on uplifting the lives of their constituents through this media.

@@AuntieFa A car helps, however, a cell phone, a computer and an internet connection and social media accounts can do a lot to reach people. You can organize online meetings to discuss local candidates and issues. Check out the local offices of your elected public officials and candidates you want to support. See if that’s a fit for you. I started as a volunteer and I think that’s a good place to start. That way you’ll know if you want to go farther. You’ll get to know people and make connections with the ones with interests common to yours. It can grow from there. It’s all about human relations.😊

This def gave me some important things to think about. I’m running for city council in Phx in 2026 and I’m running as an independent, though I lean left, I can’t stand how petty democrats can be (those in office) and how they move at a snails pace, and pander, pander, pander like no other. Anyways, I’m going to get in touch w local parties and try and attend some meeting to see who could potentially support me. I’m for better gun regulation even if it’s a city ordinance, I’m for making sure schools are funded and honestly they need to start teaching finance in all grade levels, we need way lore affordable housing, but I’m not for raising taxes, we have tremendous excess revenue and all Dems ever want to do is raise taxes. REBUDGET, REBALANCE, stop trying to raise taxes for the goodness sake… these people are so uncreative. Anyways good video, I know I’m gonna meet resistance along the way but I just want to make some noise. Partisan politics is ruining this country. There’s things on both sides we can pick and choose from.

Notice how we have a Democratic majority in government, yet we still are swinging more and more into extreme conservatism? This won't be helped by me going to a city council meeting. As a socialist myself i agree. While it would be nice to start your own party, itd be easier and more practical to run as a (most likely democrat) political canidate. In america things like "Communist Party" and "socialist party" etc are scary buzzwords and neither of those parties have ever won a seat in any office. Itd be best to start running with democratic party and maybe branch off into your own party once your campaign or your term has gained enough traction.
@AdmiralBison
@AdmiralBison Жыл бұрын
@@eliashaynes3663 yep. I'm been thinking this is the way to go as well. The ultra rich have taken over both major parties where economically they are no different, so why not have the people take them both back and have some exra ones to boot. Also some encouraging news in case you don't know: "Socialism" is no longer a dirty scary word as it use to be, despite corporate media's fear mongering of it. Fox News corp. of all places reported on the growing number of younger generations choosing Socialism, of course they tried hard to demonize it, but still that is significant. Trump in one of his addresses said "The United States will never be a Socialist country" and Ted Cruz in a very rare instance where you don't see a smirk on his face and is actually serious goes on a tirade about Socialism when the left elected Gustao Petros in Colombia. Those small instances give me hope and there is a way to break the Capitalist status quo. The only ones that truly fear Socialism with an economy controlled by the working class are billionaires and their corporations.

Municipal elections are so crucial in how national and state policy impact exactly where people live. And, it’s one thing to have a good message and rally individuals but you better understand budgeting and how local systems work. It’s difficult playing catch-up ball while votes are happening that impact what’s going on.

I intend on running for municipal government in 3 years when I'm 19 (first municipal election after I turn 18, which is when I'm old enough to run). Our municipal leaders are not effective, and though I share their political beliefs they fail to do anything about lowering taxes and do a poor job at maintaining township roads. One of the supervisors up in 2025 (the year I can run) is also rumored to be corrupt, so I can attempt to primary him and get dirt on his shady ways.

I have little dirt on said Republican.Cara Pavalock-D'Amato. I have videos that have more views than hers on KZbin. I honestly think I can beat her. Basically looking for dirt. And Im not running Democrat so I guess independents. 🤷. Im targeting the youth and teacher vote and honestly probably gonna forsake everything else. Core tenants: Money for after school programs. Taught by young 20 something college students. For pay. Year around (they do summer school). Works both ways. Engages youth. Is mentorship for the 20 somethings and an economic boost to sports/health/hoobies. Music being a non negotiatable as learning instruments has been shown to help regulate emotions. Thus decreasing the chance for student based school shootings. Allow strip clubs to stay open later. To encourage night time spending and destigmatation. So they close at 2am. Push it to 4am. Work with planned parenthood to provide sex educational pamphlets to bars and strip clubs. As the states insurance cover mental health and planned parenthood vists... I know cause Ive used both services free at use with my state given insurance. Prettt sure the boosted snap too. So no angle of attack there.
