How to run in a modern engine (plus nuts - yessss!) | Auto Expert John Cadogan

This report is inspired by the following viewer question:
"I have now signed on the bottom line for a Kia Sorento purchased via your Georgie partners. Do you have any advice on running in a new Kia Sorento diesel when brand new? I understand that for the first 1000 kilometres new vehicles should be nurtured with no sudden acceleration (say at traffic lights) no driving over 100 kilometres an hour, no high revving, etc. Some vehicles have motors 'run in' at the factory, and perhaps Kia does this? We have the towbar fitted to start towing as soon as we can. Do you have a recommendation here?" - Chris
