Joanna Zeiger is a former professional triathlete, Olympian and Ironman 70.3 World Champion. In other words, she's not only crazy fast but she's spent countless hours training and running. In this second video JZ along with her training partner Brandon discuss and demonstrate the Top five exercises for runners and triathletes who want to run faster like an Olympian.

Misleading comment. Joanna's an Olympian and she's showing you how to run faster with her top exercises in this video. Exactly what part of that do you find misleading?

It would be a lot more helpful if there was an overhead cam showing what you were pointing out about his form

This exercise is designed to improve your stride, foot strike & balance when running. If you have Orthotics in your sneakers & notice your sneakers wear differently left to right. Pay close attention in the exercise how your hip, knee, & ankle track in alignment. Make sure you feel the work in your thigh muscles as you lift & not your lower back. The hips are like a see-saw as one goes up the other goes down. If you have tight hip flexors/lower back you will see restriction & misalignment.

In regards to the alternating arm/leg exercise performed while lying down, when my right leg is extending downwards and straightening out, I feel a "clicking" sensation deep in my hip/sacrum (I can't quite pinpoint). What could this be? It is very annoying. There is no pain. Any feedback would be appreciated!

It is ignorant in any sport to ever think you are becoming "to experienced" for the basics. Im a parkour instructor, a sport in which you will tear your body to pieces with out proper form, and conditioning. The only way to train good form is by practicing the absolute basics. If you only ever do the advanced training you are missing an essential part of the puzzle, you will suffer for it long term. Its because the pros never forget the basics that they are the pros. This applies to all sports.

Ok, they just look like pretty basic exercises for any experienced runner. But maybe these are more about form. Would be good to see some intense sessions and how to join things up - in order to run faster.

I completely agree. Whilst a very excellent video in itself, I just think the title "how to run like an Olympian" is a bit too pretentious IMO.

Awesome videos guys! I've watched a few now which no doubt will help with my running. So thankyou. Just some constructive feedback for you - the lady needs to watch how she speaks to the guy. She may not mean it but she makes deogratory comments to him. Not cool.
