Too keep my idle time down I'd hook up my jumper cables to the reefer unit which needs to run anyways and let it keep the tractor batteries charged. Plus, while in Kommiefornia they can't say $hit about the reefer running!!

Okay drivers if you need to run the truck with out it turning off. Set both brakes and hit your cruise on button then hit the set button.
@AlleyDocked9 ай бұрын
That and setting the temperature on the thermostat lower in the sleeper helps too. The big question I have is that when in subfreezing temperatures, we need to idle the truck at night to keep everything working as it should. Is there a bypass for that reason?
@truckinglifewithshawn9 ай бұрын
Yes push in the yellow park brake then push cruise control on button on steering wheel then hold set button and pull yellow park brake at same time but don't press the brake pedal

Turn your truck on Press in the yellow button, while holding "on" on the cruise control settings Press "set" on the cruise control settings and pull out yellow button if you see "engine throttle" on the display, you've succeeded, your truck will now idle indefinitely
@truckinglifewithshawn9 ай бұрын
Ur absolutely correct

I pushed the yellow in. Pushed on then set and while pushing resume popped the yellow and then it idles up
@larrypratt3076 Жыл бұрын
Well I was thinking using to much power at the same time you may have to idle up the charging time , I used to run 4 to 5 battery's didn't have to charge so much , now I may be talking junk 3 new ones may be cool
