How to: Runner’s lacing on Rollerblades

This lacing technique can be used on any shoe, skate, etc for additional, lasting tension.
I like using this at the 45 position to lock in the heel. It’s especially helpful with ridiculously long frames like these from Roka Skating

This should be a huge improvement then! It almost renders the 45 strap unnecessary aside from on the fly adjustment

Getting a bit of heel lift with my new wizard skates. just got the pair of waxed laces I've been meaning to use and laces them up like this. Will try it out tomorrow.

That's true. The twister liner's hard tongue that goes all the way through the heel does a great job locking it.

Thank you, I'll give this a go soon. Knees are nearly healed up, at least enough to go in a straight line up and down, which is better than nothing. So do you lace right up to top when you skate or just to the eyelet above the runners knot and loop around the cuff?

This is a real game changer for sure! I lace to the top of the shell AND wrap around the cuff, and lace my liner separate.

In theory you can do as many as you want! I’ve done it at the top and it helps a lot there too
