Do you have to replace the screen every time or is this just a worst case scenario

Hey i know this comment is a little late but my iPhone 12 recently had the same problem but my screen was still working fine so i took it to a random repair shop after he repaired it he told me that he also had to change the screen but when I told him that the screen works just fine he said some technical things that I didn’t understand. So im wondering have I been scammed off of my iPhone screen or was the change really necessary

Hello, this happened to my iphone 8 today, i cant get it to a repair shop until next week. Will it be safe to have it sitting in a cool place if its shut down until then without bloating further??? Thanks

I wonder what causes this and how to prevent this? This is such a pain in the ass.

This is could be from a battery that has a lot of cycles or one that has been left 24/7 plugged in for in whole life. Super common with store display devices at Walmart, bestbuy etc

Looks like a case of "spicy pillow disease", or a swollen battery.
