Came here extreme frustrated by using these stupid adhesives that I can never seem to get right and end up discarding. Came away with genuine knowledge! Thanks!

Thank you for the help! I'll add to the chorus of "I didn't know about the primer!" I appreciate the detail and time that went into this. Thank you.

We have began to use tesa tape on our repairs. It has proven to be a very good tape but on some occasions with some devices that tape seems not to stick too well. The primer seems like what we are missing. Greatly appreciate the input. Great video!

Great video, the thing most techs miss is the 3M primer! If you are doing iPads USE THE PRIMER, you will be surprised how easily the screen stays down with little to no clamping. No more returns for the screen coming up!

Mark Prince agreed! It’s surprising how well it holds when using primer.

Great video! Do you apply pressure to make the screen adhere better, and how long after applying adhesive before returning to the customer?

God bless this man. I wasted two of those custom pre-cut adhesives and thought they were useless before I saw this video. The messed up part is that the websites that I buy the adhesives from don't even have a installation video to follow. They will show you how to assemble and disassemble a smartphone but quickly gloss over the part where you need adhesive. So when it's time to apply it, it's guess work. Thank you so much for doing what others don't. Post common sense videos!

Can the primer be used for the glass back of phones? I have to replace the back of an LG V60 and i'm thinking of using this primer to help the adhesive stick better to the frame

Hi. Why don't you use E8000 or other similar glue? Isn't it better holding? Isn't it easier to apply? I want to glue up the back covers on my Xperia Z2 and Z3... Please give me some advice.

Leonardo Rojas oem is installed using tape adhesive. Tape adhesive immediately creates a secure bond whereas liquid glue like e8000 doesnt. As well, later on when the device is used, If tape adhesive loosens, it remains tacky and in many cases will tack back down. Liquid glue doesn’t do this. We like to use tape adhesive where it was use from the factory.

Great video but I think using the primer is overkill especially for making a video for amateurs that will likely end up getting themselves into trouble affixing the tape permanently in a bad position whereas using only the double-sided tape is sufficient as those are very sticky and is adequate itself alone. 6:35 prime example Using glue like B7000 or E8000 is quite forgiving and sufficiently good.
