you are right....my wife is big fan of these Palm but over the years I have seen big problems....they don't survive indoor for us!!! They look beautiful when you bring them home and after few weeks you can see leafs starts turning yellowish and then dry. We have 3 right now in horrible shape..almost dead. I noticed potting mix/soil that we used turned into like a stone (on the top surface) can't imagine what is going on underneath...we live in cold climate but the plants are always inside in weather that can range from 19 deg to 24 deg temperature. What type of potting mix should be used for these plants and how do you prepare the pot? Do you think I can do something so they can survive at least for a year? Thank you

My areca plant kept getting brown leaves and I keep cutting them but they keep happening and one of the stems even got brown completely and I had to remove it! So according to this video, I was watering too little D: I was watering once every 1-2 weeks! So now I’m going to water every 3-4 days and hopefully that makes my areca happier and fuller!!

My arecas are growing wild in my backyard, they're about 25 to 30 feet tall, I live in South Florida, Milargonite every six months and palm fertilizer keeps them lush and green in direct sun. I've had them over 20 years already, were planted three feet apart, watered daily the first three months. Now they rely on our rain cycle for water. I only water after fertilizer, sometimes I forget. I've got a total of 50 plants, all original none had to be replaced. Arecas in pots tend to be finicky.

Is there any difference between indoor and outdoor areca palm? When buyed from nursery it costs more bucks and small in size.. But when buyed from outside vendor, he gave me a big one in just 100 bucks..

Thanks for an informative video. Everyday before going to bed I make sure to watch atleast one video of yours nd try implement ur tips to my plants the next day. It really refreshes me. I have this variegated fiscus starlight. When I bought it had 5 to 6 branches full of leaves. Now only one branch has leaves nd rest of the branches are empty. Pls advise on how can I make it bushy? And what should I do with those empty branches? Will leaves grow again on that?

Oh my gosh you saved my plant! I was watering it but not until it came out the bottom. My plant was wilting and all the leaves were going downward even though i was watering. I watered it until it seaped from the bottom and in 2 days all the leaves came alive and was upright again. lol

This video was really informative and gave some clues to identify common problems, thank you didi😊😊....I recently bought a peacelily in first week of october and it had two flower buds which were ready to bloom......last time, as I repotted rubber plant just after coming home and it died, this time I let peacelily adjust to the surrounding and repotted it after 2-3 days.....now it's been almost 4 weeks those flowers aren't blooming, and the leaf tips are browning....the base is soil+cocopeat and kept near balcony window with frequent watering.....I really care for it like my family member and don't want it to be 2nd plant died bcoz of me, next to rubber plant😔😔......please, some advice would really help me🙏

When we take a plant from land and transplant them in a pot mostly that plant don't survive. Plz explain the reasons behind this and guide to solve this issue...

You rooted it very deep, roots should be on the same level as in previous pot and never touch the roots of Areca, they are very sensitive.

Zz plants require don't require sunlight. Watering in 10 to 15 days. Jade plant grows in bright spot of the room and requires less water. Once a week.

Just in the recent past I tried decorating the corner of my living room but both the times my Palm has died within 3-4 months after turning its leaves from light to darker brown . Recent one started dying when repotted in a bigger decorative pot by adding garden mix soil , some sheep and cattle manure . Thanks for the video, it really helps. Actually, I was almost murdered my Erica plants as I had kept them at my parking place which is entrance of the house as well. My bungalow since it is east facing there was direct sunlight and I was realising the tips turning brown and thanks to your earlier video and I immediately shifted them inside house one beside dining and another beside staircase. Now I realise that I need to shift the one from staircase place to a place nearby window, will do it ASAP. Thanks again.

You might have damaged the primary root it will recover just prune the dead leaves and add more fertilizer to recover from heavy damage!

Hi,,, thanks for your update on plants. It helps me alot in my personal gardening. I have question my Areca palm was very good suddenly it rotten from healthy stem and fall down. And when i cut it down,, i saw it was completely dead and dark brown. Due to tgat it could not stand and fall down. Can you please suggest why it happened. It was very good in growth and beautiful.
