Thank you for showing this. I have two cymbidiums I have put into water culture and am still waiting for the roots to come in. I am new to water culture and am impatiently waiting to see any life on any of my converts to water. Will follow your further inputs and results

Solveig Freeman Hi! One thing about water culture is patience and lots of it. Sometimes you'll see progress of roots in a month or it will take even longer. But have patience, it will pay off. If you go to my video playlist you'll see two videos of root progress on this Cymbidium. Good luck

Good luck with your Cimbidium, Yen Yen, I have a tip for you too in case you didn't know, if you put the hydrogen peroxide in a clear spray bottle like in this video, after you are done using it keep it in a dark space like a dark cupboard, if you noticed the hydrogen peroxide comes in compact bottles, if is kept in light is loosing it's properties.

+fifi fifi No, I didn't know it, but thank you for the tip! I like using the small bottle because I end up using all the peroxide I pour in there. I was thinking of using a bigger bottle but now that you mention it, maybe my small bottle will work out just fine. Thanks for stopping by. :)

I have a bunch of these that I tried “saving” and trimmed the rotten roots and got clean new media, brand new pots, and these cool plastic mesh pots to put in so I could see what’s going on. I sprayed with hydrogen peroxide and potted in new media. I then left alone, and then watered and now I checked, AND THEY ROTTED MORE! I now have no roots. How to set this up if I have no roots?
@Growinglotsagreens6 жыл бұрын
The Cymbidium I saved had barely any roots. I used the Water Culture to save it and it’s still alive and doing great. Please check out my other videos to see how I did it. Thank you for stopping by!

Should I have a container that holds it semi snug?
@Growinglotsagreens6 жыл бұрын
Any container would work. You just need to be able to stake them up so the roots have room to grow. Good luck!

Do you know how to save a Cymbium from a bud rots??
@Growinglotsagreens7 жыл бұрын
Bud rot? I’m not sure what you’re asking. Do you mean bud blast? Where the buds develop but doesn’t bloom and ends up dying?

Thank I just received one today and it had two roots one triple leaf and I cut off dead it had three pseudo bulbs green but dry looking and I was sick I ordered that its supposed to be blooming stage lol in two years after I saw the condition I contacted the sellers and no answer ! So I didn’t use water I tried clean pot fresh moss small bark I watered it good but my hopes for it or slim hopefully I can watch it An if I see improved growth on roots I will leave it in that medium. I’ll keep trying I’m pretty sure I won’t purchase from them again!

Shouldn’t put in water since it rotting from water when plant is sick. Matter as well cut off the flowering separate it and put in a vase for the orchid get energy to grow roots to the orchid plant .
@Growinglotsagreens5 жыл бұрын
Hi. The cymbidium root was rotted from the store when it was purchased. The flower spike was cut off to give the orchid more energy’s to creating new pseudobulbs. Because of this method the orchid is still alive and has produced lots of roots. Thank you for stopping by.
