Ah this looks better than my method as i always try to go through the mines, so many things that can go wrong on that run!

I don´t know if is the quickest, but the safest and straightforward way to save Legarde is learning somehow the skill leg sweep. D´arce is the easiest, and only need to get a soulstone and find out the hexen table, but with a bit of luck you can get the scroll of swordmanship looting books, even if you need to save scum a bit. Cahara can steal the scroll to Seymour, though. One more method is, if you by any reason find a quill or an empty scroll, then a guaranteed wat to find an empty scroll or a kill is to steal the Iron Shakespeare, is 50% each, I believe, but if you achieve one of each you can get the scroll of swordmanship by this method, as well. Once you have that skill, go to the prison and leg sweep the door which leads to Legarde location. For a weird reason, the doors in this game are tagged as legs and are instakilled by this skill. Then, you only need to go downstairs and dodge the guards patroling around legarde. Easy and safe, as I said.

Why does eveyone keep saying that about leg sweep. From its definition (in the real world), is a technique that implies using YOUR OWN LEG to disrrupt the oponets balance. Altough it never refers to a weapon, the usage of the name sugest that you use a long blade and push it with your inferior lower limbs to damage the target.
