1. What do you need? Do you really need a brand new phone every 24 months? How much data do you actually use?

3. Move to a sim-only contract.
Much cheaper to pay for the sim and save on the side for a new phone every few years.
Reputable brands include Smarty (Owned by Three) &' Voxi (Owned by Vodafone).
4. Buy a refurbished or used phone.
Phones are extremely powerful nowadays, buying 1-2 year old phone will work fine for years to come.
Good places to look for used phones are WeBuy as they offer a warranty and have many stores where you can visually inspect the phone upfront.

Is 25gb for £11.20 good? Im with ee and the speeds are capped to 100mb/s which is alot. Im thinking of upgrading to unlimited instead of buying broadband as i only use my phone/tablet around the home.

I've heard that EE has great coverage, so there's a point for going with them. That said, if you aren't frequently travelling and know you get signal at home, then the advantage is possibly lost. As for the price, it's not bad but it's not that good either. I'm with Smarty (Owned by Three) and pay £10 a month for 30gb (Although it is 60gb for a few more months). However, if you go on a cashback website, you'll likely find phone deals for less than £10 a month after you count the cashback. Which means you can probably find some incredible deals for the price. I've just found a deal for 120gb for £6.83 a month with Three using Quidco. @OzbourneForeman thanks. Also, what speeds are you promised as I'd need higher speeds. I get around 70mb/s on 4G, and I'm in a 5g area for outdoors only. I've got a contract with ee till 2025. So I may find a better contractor after then. Thanks for your reply 👍

I'm not sure on 4g speeds as I could only test 5g. But I have a download speed of 890 Mbps.

@OzbourneForeman that's better than broadband WiFi lol. Mine is capped at 100. I can opt for unlimited with no cap on speeds but it's 30 quid

Any options for sim,s for Mobile 4g and 5g Internet I have tried a few But they all seem to send Messages login codes etc to the Sim that in the router So you would need to remove the sim Put in in a phone Get the code Then put it back in the router Which is a pain to say the least I am trying 1p Mobile at the moment But they have no App And as far as i can see to find data used which is using the Mobile number on the sim in the Mobile router Once again a real pain.

I personally check my mobile data usage in my settings. I use Android and there's a setting that let's you restrict/monitor apps that use data. Maybe that can help you?
