Nice tips there Dimitri THANK YOU . I have done it several times ... if the kite is intact you can hook your lease on the pump loop many kites have near the inflation valve , and kite normally to the beach using both your hands.

These videos are awesome. And the timing for your video is perfect, there was just last week incident in Finland where kiter got into big trouble and this technique had to be used. Kiting community is awesome and you always get (OR ATLEAST SHOULD GET!) help from others. Ride hard and keep safe!

if you think about rescue , whats the priority ? peoples live s or the kite ?

Clearing the water of loose equipment is very clever to get that over with. The fallen kiter can tread water till you get back to them. Then you get them later when they are free of lines and flopping sail area/deflated kite, broken lines. It's a practical issue. If it's far out in the ocean where it's hard to find the person after these matters then getting the kiter back to shore is first as the kite will blow into shore eventually.

can you make a video how to save a kiteboard? Everytime i have to do it i'm struggling like hell
@Harry-TramAnh

It's awkward but if you are not comfortable diving the kite with one hand you can rest the board on your harness and chicken loop. This can prevent you pulling the bar right in so the conditions have to be right for this.

Which epic kite is good for freestyle, but a begginer can easily ride it and it is not as expensive as fck

Hello Kunenar. I strongly recommend the RENEGADE model. Because these kites were designed all all around riding. Very good for jumping, for unhooking, for the waves, and for teaching. Click on this link: store.epickiteskiteboarding.com/products/renegade-6g

Next video how to tow somone out? Going to try it this weekend with a good kiter friend of mine but no clue right now how it it is going to work. These videos are great, I enjoy the funny ones but is like watching a video of self rescue, if you can maintain the calm and recall what you saw you are going to be fine. Best thing is to watch someone as good as Dimitri doing it and try it yourself in a safe environment, after you have done that , if it happens for real you are going to be so confident that everything goes smoothly.... so please dimitri, a video on how to tow someone else out of the water? Please....

It is interesting idea and fairly safe in nise smooth sandy beach. However I'd say it still can be risky as you carry the kite back with some speed and let say bar or lines get caught by sea bottom (stones, reef, etc)your arm definitely get dislocated ..or worse...
@epickites
@epickites 6 жыл бұрын
Correct don't forget also having a shark grabbing the bar.
@epickites
@epickites 6 жыл бұрын
But usually when your are dragging the kite you have some speed so the bar behind won't sink. The only time it will sink is if the bar has no floaters and you are going as slow as a turtle. But you can always take time and ask the kiter to roll his bar all the way to the kite and then you can drag the kite to the beach.

I think it’s more important to « bring » the man before bringing the kite. »

Nice sentiment but you risk leaving an unleashed kite floating in the sea which is potentially a hazard to other people out there (boat propellers / other kiters getting tangled in the lines etc). But sure, I can see that in certain circumstances you might want to leave the kite as it would be easier for lifeboat rescue services to spot in the event that the kiter needs proper assistance and it isn't just an equipment malfunction

It all depends of the situation. This is why you need to communicate with the kiter first and see what seems to be the problem. So communication is #1.

If it was me, I would be comfortable waiting. You HAVE to be comfortable in the water to be kiting anyway
