It's really annoying when you have two sims. If the other sim is already sleeping on the spot that's not next to the wall it can't get on the bed

They can sleep but can’t woohoo however, so if you want your sims to have babies and have a pregnancy, that becomes useless. Also, if the sim who usually sleeps near the bed goes to sleep AFTER the other one sim, they’ll be blocked so… it’s only half helpful.

- Place stuff diagonally - Sizing up plants and decor. (The base game stack of two books looks like coffee table browsing books when sized up) - columns and spandrels to break up spaces without putting a whole wall in. - platforms and sunken floors to break up floor spaces. - debug, probably And just pack places with activities. Activities usually need space around them. So a big living room you can make it an office, and a kids play room, music parlor etc. I've learned a lot of this stuff watching caryn & connie and lilsimsie and a few others.

The last pet reminds me of real life toddlers making ‘scale errors’, where they don’t understand size yet and will sometimes try to get in to tiny toy cars/sit on doll chairs/etc. Look it up - there are some very cute videos from researchers on it!

I just wanted to say thank you so much! I have built I don't know how many some houses and then today's years old when I find out we can delete the wall under the stairs and use that space. The open ones I've always tried to use the space but, it always says it's not functional so now I know even if it shows open just delete so thank you again

Some objects you may need to use move.objects for because of the head clearance, but couches and desks usually work if you angle them right.

I had the same problem with WW and new Crystal Creation Gemology Table. Like some animations clipping AROUND it. It's because they assume you have 1 square of space around it so they use that extra space for animations to be fluid and make sense. If everything was limited to only fit withing space of this furniture/object then we would have very stiff and limited animations. With that beds technically take 2 - 6 extra squares of space on the sides so sims can actually get in and out of bed or use any game animations, there is no animation for getting to bed from front or back.

I size down so many objects cause they seem weirdly big. Once though, I thought I was being clever when I made a playground, and wanted a huge dinosaur statue. Suddenly I see it rolling around and flipping upside down. I forgot it was a playable toy; not just a decoration, and some kid was swinging this life-size triceratops around the playground. 😭

Do that last one makes me think about the possibility for build mode if we ever actually do get a fairy pack because I think that maybe if we ever actually do get a fairy pack we might get like tiny build mode where you can build a little tiny fairy house that your fairy can actually go into the house that you made in the alternate form of build mode and also I'm pretty sure EA never actually ever do that if I ever did make a fairy pack but it'd be cool and also I'm wondering how hard would it be to just make like an alternate form of build mode where everything is the size of a bug

TIP FOR SIZING DOWN ITEMS ON XBOX: Press both brackets and triggers at the same time like you're gonna type in a cheat, and then do it again. Then exit out and use the little arrowpad on the left side of the controller to change the size and how high up or low it is. DISCLAIMER: you will have to do this while you are moving an object or placing one from the catalogue(if that's what it's called). And you will have to do it over again for each item. A bit annoying, but still effective.
