Great job! This is how “money buys happiness”. Not making purchases, but the opposite. When you have a reserve/nest egg and become debt free, you get access to your REAL life. I know there’s real slavery around the world, but modern day indentured servitude is still present in capitalist societies like the US. Buying my freedom by buying less ironically

Since 2020, my stepfather has been generously covering all my education expenses, from my associate degree to my current bachelor's and soon my master's. His support has allowed me to save some money, and now I'm eager to invest in something worthwhile, like stocks or real estate, to make him proud and show my appreciation. Agreed, investing with the help of an advisor set me up for life. Retired with about $1.6m in stock portfolio only. I worked hard everyday as a teacher for 32 years, and my salary was over 100k annually. Supplementing my income with stocks and alternative investments helped me by far beat the retirement age before 65.

If you have that much try investing in dividend S&P stocks. SPYD has a monthly return of 4.16% of your total investment, imagine if you split 100k of your investment between different dividend stocks of similar % of monthly return. You would be getting over 4k a month in two years you would have gotten your 100k back along with the 4k a month with it.

I started investing in ETFs and bonds a while ago, though given my start age, I sometimes questioned if it made sense. It often felt like my focus on diversification was more about diluting returns than actually managing risk. After investing time in research, I discovered a strategy that worked for me, helping me reach $4 million before retirement. Looking back, I'm glad I was still timely enough to make those changes

In my experience, luck plays a part, especially in the short term. But I’ve noticed that when results remain consistent, it usually indicates something more than just luck. These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.

Understanding personal finances and investing will most likely lead to greater financial independence. By being knowledgeable about money and investing, individuals can make informed decisions about how to save, spend, and invest their money. I know someone who made over $350k in this recession influenced market, but to the best of my knowledge, it was through a financial advisor.

Yeah, financial advisors could make a lot of difference, particularly in a market such as this. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look. I have been using an FA since 2019, and I return at least $21k ROI, and this does not include capital gain.

I'm curious do you keep anything in your general savings account or do you use you HYSA as your whole savings?

Having just turned 41 and got laid off, I'm at a turning point. With 425K saved for early retirement at 50, 10K in an HSA, and a property that could sell for an extra 200K, what are my options for investing aggressively?

It makes sense to consider a financial advisor at this stage, but delaying retirement might be a smarter choice

Not going back to work. I'm unsure whether to consolidate all my investment accounts into one. If I do, how should I handle it and what should I be aware of? I also plan to sell my property, which could bring in an extra 200K over time. Should I combine everything into one account or spread it out across different investments?

These are key questions for a financial planner. I connected with mine at a summit, and with her help, my wife and I reallocated our 1.7M portfolio between a traditional IRA and brokerage account. She’s been managing the investment with our approval and has helped us recover twice our losses. Currently hodl’ing steady and cautiously navigating the market

One lesson I've learnt from billionaires is to always put your money to work, and diversifying your investments. I'm planning to invest about $200k of my savings in stocks this year, and I hope I make profits.

You are right. The best approach I feel is to diversify investments- by spreading investments across different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown.

I like the shirt idea!! We don’t need to be buying expensive clothes or clothes just to buy or bc we have more money. Growing up, seeing my dad not buy stuff, I thought getting the career, I wouldn’t have to go through that. But it’s about managing your money for your goals. I have to ask myself, is this item worth more than taking a vacation, saving, investing, retiring early, or working more and being away from my family. The answer is no.
