Really loved this vid Nathan , vintage sawmilling here - though I must confess I do prefer your newer ones with your great choice of music and “ added blah blah blah “ 😅… a greater part of the charm for me is your easy accent and honest to goodness way of explaining things and your dry sense of humour . Keep on with the commentary and chat my friend ✊ 👍🏴

Gosh, there was some nice grain in that lumber Nathan. Did someone suggest you make a silent video? I think there is much more entertainment & certainly much more 'educational' value in having you talk & explain things as you work. Cheers, Don from South Australia.

Okay, you're the second of the top 5 YT'ers I follow that has posted one of these videos. I'll tell you the same thing I told the other one. I don't subscribe or watch your channel to listen to machinery sounds. I subscribe and watch for the content and THAT INCLUDES the dialog. There are other sawmill centric channels, I can switch to them in a heartbeat.

I like the look & smell of cedar. I can almost smell it at your mill all the way to Alabama. What happened to "no talking"? You always do a good job explaining things about the mill or other things around the farm. Without talking, we would not know what you are doing some times. What's that?

Milling a tree 30ft long all at once doesn't make any sense if they were just going to cut the boards to short lengths once it's sawn. Cool to see, but a complete waste of time for the business.
