I think it's easier to understand in languages different from English. In Russian for example, it would be straightforward: - Я устал. - И я... (κι εγώ) - Мне нравится учиться - И мне (κι εμένα)

For the past week or two, I have had difficulties functioning the KZbin subtitles for English. A giant text of subtitles appears for the first few seconds of each video, and then nothing after. Hopefully it is soon fixed - I'll ask the internet.

Επίσης would be my fall back if I didn't know what to say. However, if someone said to me "Μου έλειπες", would I say "κι συ"? Also, If someone says "μου αρεσεί" could I say "και μένα" short for "αρέσει και σε μένα", also would "και εμού" work here as well? BTW Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ για άλλο ένα ενδιαφέρον βίντεο.

You can say “κι εσύ” but it means “you too” 😊 Κι εμένα or και μένα is the same thing. Και εμού, we don’t use it.

@@thomas3704 "κι συ" is not used because it's 2 'ι' sounding vowels in a row, so it's not sounding 'nice' you can either say "και συ" or "κι εσύ"

@@geogeo2299 I tend to agree with you on that, but in practice that is I believe what people actually say when speaking rapidly. I think the classic example is when some asks "Τι κάνεις;" and the reply often times may be "Καλά κι συ". I think I usually say at most "Και συ", personally.

no, you can't Please remember that 'κι' is a shortened 'και', and may be used before 'εμένα' only because the phonetc transition from an 'ι' sound to an 'ε' sound, is preferable to having two consecutive 'ε' sounding vowels (the αι from 'και' immediately followed by the ε from 'εμένα')

Και μου, και με, work in the case of: Και μου είπες ότι = And to me you said that (And you said to me that) Και με παίρνει αυτός τηλέφωνο = And me calls he on the telephone (And he calls me on the telephone) Normally, Μου is the weak genitive case of εμένα, therefore means 'of mine' Αυτό τo βιβλίο μου = This book of mine

Your english translations should be more literal, following the same word order as in the Greek just spoken. That is best for learning Greek, even though not producing beautiful English, but the latter is not the main purpose.
