I follow your steps and am able to make my pattern smaller, which is great, but how do I get that now smaller pattern into the swatches? It keeps adding the original swatch which is much bigger than I want.

Hi, thank you for this tutorial, but the problem is: when you change the size using this method; and after a while, you want to do any further changes, the moment you click on the pattern icon in swatches the pattern go back to its default size..!! any solution?
@MattBorchert4 жыл бұрын
I believe that you would have to make a new pattern swatch (or alter the existing pattern swatch). This article may be helpful: helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/create-edit-patterns.html
@qasimmgm4 жыл бұрын
@@MattBorchert Yes, I think this is the only solution, create a new one, thank you very much

The difficulty with Patterns is to be able to scale them interactively. Mac users are lucky to have the Tilde (~) key, wherever it hides on their keyboard. PC users? Depends on their keyboard configuration. I have not found the "corresponding" key on my Windows PC Canadian Multinligual keyboard yet. I don't give up hope of finding it some day... Thank's for the video.
