I'd love to see a more detailed video showing how you scan your Polaroids including how you create the tool to scan photos! I've seen those spots on most of the photos I've scanned. Usually I just use the clone or spot healing tool to remove in Photoshop. I usually scan at 600 dpi, do you think this is enough as is?

Really love your channel. I have a question. I am more interested in understanding the DPI to keep if I want to create prints like maybe for a Zine, coffee table book or just create reproduction prints to put in photo frames. Any information would be helpful.

The angle of reflectance is = to the angle of incidence. PS I'd recommended a "macro" lens due to their typical flat field construction.

Great content. I really appreciate the details. Your videos are always so interesting and informative. Just want to share that I found nice storage boxes at IKEA that will fit one row of Polaroid and Instax wide film, for those who have a local store.

Hello and thanks for your videos, could you please tell me how would you scan the negatives obtained from the polaroids SX70 and 600? I'm struggling a bit since they're not transparencies and colours don't match. thank you for your patience

I just use a printer that has a scanner option built-in. :)

Marco I have made an adapter with 3d print but I didn’t know about the explanation you made. Thank you! Do you think can be useful to share the 3d file with the community ?

i always thought it's a bit overkill to print it but do you have it on thingiverse, than i could link it

Analog Things to be honest because I didn’t know that was useful I didn’t put on Thingiverse yet. Let me do tomorrow and will link here it

With my scanner, I'm getting lines all the way across the image and it also seems to have less detail than just snapping a quick picture with my iPhone. I think I may need to attempt your picture-taking method.
@AnalogThings5 жыл бұрын
this can come from scanning with too much details, the lines come from the pvc
@tristandeniet5 жыл бұрын
Analog Things I'm scanning at 600 DPI. Is that too much? I set it to that because it originally came out with very low resolution.

Hello Marco ! I had the luxury of helping an incredible artist who knows you. Man this world is small , his name is Alan Marcheselli ! I mentioned your video of the biggest Polaroid in the world because of some pictures he had in his studio and he told me the two of you worked together on those ! A giant portrait of a model with Boba Fett’s helmet

haha yeah, i know alan pretty good and i was the camera operator for him on that shooting :)

How Many DPI for Polaroids?
@argosauge2872Ай бұрын
As he stated in the video it should not exceed 1600 DPI in order to avoid problems with the structure of the polaroid film material itself showing up in the scan rather than the image itself only. Hope this is of help.

possible but doesn't change the way you should light it
@victornolasco4656 жыл бұрын
@@AnalogThings The app uses the light on your phone to illuminate the image and then interpolates the reflection out of the final image.
