The on I've always used that still works is the wrap around with protect puck. Go in with decent speed behind the net on the forehand side, start holding A or X while behind net and when you're around right in front of the goalie 3/4 of the net is open. It's worked since the protect puck button has been in the games. Also if there's defenceman in front of the net you can even drag out a little further when coming around and it will often still work

drag shots work pretty well this year, either classic forehand drags, or the datsyuk snipes

Skate up close to the G then fake slapshot then hold our forehand an shoot far side. So for left handed skate towards the right of the net fake the slap the G will try to poke check an then hold the puck out on your forehand an top shelf

Every year I love watching these videos for the game. Hey guys check out these "glitch" goals that haven't been fixed! If you do a move like in real life and the goalie goes down you can score on it most of the time....Yes like real life. If they programmed the AI for the goaltender to make those saves then people would complain the goaltending is too OP and you would literally have to make every single goal RNG. The only solution to change these "glitch" *cringe* goals is changing how the player is controlling the puck. It would happen the same in real life if it wasn't for the puck rolling on it's edge, the player not getting enough of it or simply losing control of it. EA could implement those situations too, but people would still complain that it happens too much.

To build on your LS movement comments, hopefully to help players... People really need to study and understand the physics engine. The AI goalies and skaters read the users movements and their responses become predictable. Recognizing and developing methods to exploiting those moments is crucial. The user can reliable bait AI movements to create space and empty nets. Even applied PVP, the opposition has make micro adjustments to their defensive coverage because I was able to capitalize on one of those moments. Hopefully making them respond to me, instead of allowing them implement their preferred defensive structure. Spend a couple hundred hours in practice mode or on squad battles and really study the mechanics of the game.

So the corner goal has been in the game since nhl 94...but in avreal game if you skate untouched from the corner all the way across the face of the net youre likely to score. My gobto breakaway is back firward back and if pulled off its like 90% The other 10% are desperation saves or my mistake of shooting wide or back into the goalie. They made the 1 handed tuck a lot harder. I was like 100% on that coming in on the right angle. Im yet to score one in nhl 23 Can you free skate with your custom player ftom be a pro? I remember innlike nhl 12 there was a practice mode inside the be a pro mode. Id practice way more if i could use the player i actually play games with. Now i use mario lemeuix... Still cant do the michigan...or the zeegras

Pretty much what I do, except exactly like u said with a left hand shooter, but I come around the net, I guess his works for semi pro and pro?... When I go around the next with a speedster 95 overall Johnny Gaudreau, a defenseman hammers my player against the boards, so just go straight to the corner?.. Not around net.. Ill give it a shot.. always did the behind the net glitch or behind the red line corner forehand far side I’m playing pro I usually play all star and win but I can’t even win in pro for some reason nhl22 you could literally use the same fast guy everytime they patched that it’s a completely different game I played as atalantic all stars against the ducks on pro and it’s crazy my fingers r hurting soo bad

They're not glitch goals, they're simple dekes. They have to be performed right in timing, approach angle and not so easy in traffic playing a game...unless you're on rookie level. LOL, I like 'score every time' then 'it doesn't work every time', 'it works very often'.

Tap it, toe drag, r1

so when you click in R3 you have to keep it pressed when you bring it down. the skater will bring the puck to the extended toe drag position and hold it there as long as you're holding R3 down. if you just press R3 and let it go he will do a shoulder fake or fake shot. While you have the puck in the extended toe drag position you can either flick the stick up which will do a shot/wrist shot. or you press r1 and he will do the flip. If you look at some of the x-factors it will say something about toe drag shooting. that's what they are talking about. Its actually a really accurate especially if they have it in their x-factor. This is not something you see often. I wouldnt say its rare to see in a online game but its not used often. Alot of higher level players do use the L2 button alot which is Vision control. If you hold x while pressing L2 you can control the direction of your spin which is very useful

Blue usually means it's a recommend shot but it's better to make a green shot since green means it's an open spot on the net. I score more on green goals rather than blue.

Found another "glitch" goal. When the other team pulls their goaltender and you shoot the puck at the net, it goes in 100% of the time. They need to fix this immediately!

@@xrd577 Yes, what you have to do is when you have the puck in your zone just keep moving the puck to open teammates and when you cross into their zone you shoot the puck on net. It goes in every time, but you have to do that every time.

I have it on rookie just trying to figure it out I still can’t fucking score. I played 21 on superstar and was unstoppable. now I had 40 shots to 0 and won 1-0 with a lucky slap shot I hate this game
