Loved it. Just played yesterday after watching this and a few other videos. Shot 84 - usually high 90s. One hole was under construction so I gave myself a bogie based on average play. Left 3 birdies within 6? feet with misses of a couple inches. Like you've said , I went to my comfort zone and for me hit irons only. Driver/woods give me 2x, 3x bogies so ditched em. My 4 iron is as comfortable as my 9 but woods always ruin me. Going irons only, removing hazards with layups was exactly what you said, getting up and down which I didn't. I really feel so empowered now. I chunked two chips, 3 putt twice and only one 2x bogie ...with the birdies I left I know breaking 80 is happening this year. Thanks for reiterating leaving your ego, it was so hard to go irons only and off the first tee I was already being razzed for 'not having the balls' to hit a driver but I LOVED going toe to toe score wise and always being in the fairway. It made golf FUN! and I never got mad at myself, and said the bad chips happen and moved on.

Just had a trip out to Cali for a couple rounds in Palm Springs and to play Torrey. Shot 80 at Indian canyons and 90 at Torrey with a +6 on the front. Wind got crazy on the back and went +12. I just try to find one swing I can consistently rely on that I can know where my misses are, aim accordingly and most importantly commit to your line and swing. I think it’s the same principle I have to relearn every year. Swing your swing and commit. Cheers and good luck out there 👍

Man, I needed this. It's nice to be reminded that it happens to everyone. Been practising a ton, but went from striping the ball and having the most confidence I've ever had, to suddenly 'skanking' like I've never played. Happened out of nowhere. In fact, I birdie the first hole -- using all the tips I've learned from @GolfSidekick :) -- and then just BAM! 2nd hole on onward was a disaster. Will get it back sooner than later though with this confidence booster!

I got addicticated 😉to this channel in the past 10 days. So many great thoughts. I have never broken 80 on a par 72 course in my life, a few 81s were my best rounds, and these days I can shoot 85 or 98 on any given day. What I seem to lose (in the high 90s rounds) is not so much the swing itself, but my ability to set up properly, which then leads to not being able to commit to the shot at all, because no matter what I do, I feel uncomfortable over the ball and not confidential at all. I'd love it, if you could make a video on that topic. Keep up the great work please.
