Heck yeah I like doing them I get all the cords and the motor out and then I sell the inside drum on Facebook as a fire pit and people buy them easy 25 bucks! Great video buddy!

Great tear down Bro I will say washers dryers and stoves are awesome scrap items even if the motors are mostly aluminum now it’s still better then nothing and my yard said to pull the aluminum wire from the motors as you’ll get more money outta them! One thing I’ve yet to find in a dryer is money but I found a poker chip inside a stove door once 😂 I see you almost at #800subscribers that’s awesome! God Bless

Yeah, I love scrapping them, and the change is always nice! I'll need to check with my scrap yard if they'll pay clean aluminum for the windings. Thanks for watching!

@@scrapperbrad if they do it’s definitely worth stripping them down!

The heating elements are technically inconel which is quite valuable, however most scrap yards don’t buy it as that, so they just give stainless steel price, which is still better than steel, obviously lol. Boardsort does buy low and mid grade at 40 cents a pound but after shipping costs it’s really not worth it.

Thanks for clarifying what the heating elements are. I'll need to check with my scrap yard on what they pay for them. If they give stainless price for them, I'll check to see if there are other places I can sell them for better price. But, if not, oh well. Also, yeah shipping costs seem seem to rule out sending the low grade stuff to boardsort...if only they were within driving distance 😀 Thanks for watching!

@@scrapperbrad you’re welcome! Absolutely, @40 cents a pound that would be a great source for selling so much stuff. Your yard has a pretty good price though, my yard they just goes as shred.

yep i always plan on my dryers and garbage disposers to have aluminum wire in the motors instead of copper.
@scrapperbrad8 ай бұрын
Yeah, more and more motors seem to be aluminum nowadays. Thanks for watching!
