This does not work for my Fire TV, I think because I bought it on Prime Day, it seems to be missing some functions. Woah, I just realized what the Problem is, because I have 2 Fire TVs, one connected by Fire Stick which works fine for Screen Mirroring, but the one in my Office doesn't have a Stick at all, because it's connected via Ethernet Cable, which makes it impossible for it to share the same WiFi connection as my mobile phone. Also, there is no Screen Mirroring Option available under Settings>Display & Sounds. So I tried downloading several Mirroring Apps from the App Store and it's been giving me the same networking issues with this same TV -- so maybe Amazon should find a way around this issue for Ethernet Connected TVs. Until I saw your video, I had no clue what the issue was; so thanks for posting this. Hopefully it will help you help others with the same issue.

@@FireTVSticks I am using the firecube, and using the android Google pixel 3a phone, I don't get anything happening on the TV or phone, I get the mirroing page on my TV, ready to mirror On the same WiFi, I don't get any error message. From the Home screen, swipe up twice to view your apps, then tap Settings. Tap Connected devices > Connection preferences > Cast. Select from the list of available devices. To stop casting, swipe down from the top of your screen and tap Disconnect.

I know this sounds obvious, but have you checked the volume is turned up on your TV? Sometimes this method may mute the TV and you may have to unmute it. Try some troubleshooting tips: 1) Restart your Firestick 2) Restart your router 3) Restart your phone 4) Try moving closer to the Firestick when trying to connect.

For everyone wondering why their android phone won't work, you probably have a Pixel. Google killed screen mirroring to anything that isn't a Chromecast. Have fun, this will be my first and last Pixel phone.
