i want to know what actual colors do you represent CM with. Is it and actual Cyan and Magenta or Red and Blue?
@LearnHowToScreenPrint5 жыл бұрын
C- is actually Cyan process ink. M- is actually Magenta process ink. Y- is Yellow process ink. B- is actually Black process ink... they have to be actual process inks.. using just a standard multi purpose plastisol is wrong.. and will not work. The colors must be process color plastisol.. or whatever type of ink.. water base or discharge ..

Learn How To Screen Print T-shirts I personally have been using Illustrator, working only in vector separations using spot colors. We’re looking into the potential of using either photoshop or illustrator to print full CMYK process separations. We’d be able to drastically increase our offerings, as currently if someone wants a CMYK image, we have to sublimate it on a 100% Polyester, White garment, only at sizes 8.5” x 11” max.

Hi. Thanks for sharing informational videos. I'm interested in your technique for printing. You are pull flooding and very lightly pushing the ink. Is there any benefit to your method over pulling the ink? Or is that just printer preference? And you don't go much higher than 45 lpi on your 305s? Thanks again.
@LearnHowToScreenPrint5 жыл бұрын
Kevin B I think printer preference yes correct. I like to push because it’s easier on the body. And we can go 65lpi on our 305’s but that’s as high as accurip will print halftones. I think some printers go as high as 81 lpi and higher

Hello can you explain me how you are seperating cmyk positive and which software you are using to seperate film positive??
@benmercer49424 жыл бұрын
Dunno if you found out yet but in photoshop you can go to the channels section next to the layers panel and then select the CMYK positives. Save those channels separately and make sure you add a half tone gradient to each otherwise shadows and highlights don't show well, after that you should have 4 positives for CMYK for printing

Marzia Rahman hey thanks for watching and commenting! The second step- flash dryer is the dry the top layer of ink enough to lay down another coat- so the ink is opaque and holds enough color that the t-shirt color can’t be seen through the ink- and drying on layer of ink is sometimes necessary to lay another color on top or by that layer...so they don’t smear and the design stays crisp.

@OBSIDIANSTARK6 жыл бұрын
Rodo Wood not typically no. The CMYK ink sets & process act like a color wheel... literally. The colors are specific to create other colors when layered. Different than spot color. U can try it but it will come out differently... maybe that’s what you’re going for... idk. But for an image to come out CMYK as intended pulling in all the colors, no. Lots of variables: type type, opacity of the ink, CMYK, autoline, maxopake, water base or plastisol, additives (if needed using a different ink), etc. best of luck to u. Hope that helps. 😄
