Curious when you carve the clay is it a bit wet or completely dry? I find it hard to carve.

Me: Hyper analyses tutorial, repeatedly looking back-and-forth from my work and video, end up with caveman that has creepy smiling duck lips… scraps project. Rinse and repeat until perfection.
