Abrial Elise these are "extreme nail shapes" or competition shapes, it's quite difficult to make them look sharp in short nails :/. There are many nail shapes that are just made to be long 😂😰

What a beautiful job! I have tried doing the edge shape with a form, but wow, it is difficult! But, watching this I see where I went wrong. I didn't have a form that was wide enough to make this shape. I will have to get some new forms and try this again. Kirsty, do you do the edge shape with the form for gel nails? Kristy, you do awesome work, however I do have a question. ... When you do your apex, why is it so thick. It seems as tho the nail would need more structure in the stress area instead of the back of the nail. Stress area meaning where the form meets the free edge

that nail looked rather sharp, so i have to ask if it would be feasible to have if you're a mother with small children. i usually get a square nail shape, and have the sharp edges smoothed so i'm not hurting my babies. would there be a way to do that with this type of nail? or is it best to stay away from that shape for a while?

Emma Little If you're used to having long nails it's no different to having square or oval nails. But babies in particular can have really jerky head movements which make it much easy for them to stab themselves on your nail. My 17 year old still has a faint scar on their eyelid from them headbutting into my natural 1 inch nails when they were 4 weeks old. But once babies get to 1 year old+ I can't see what the problem would be.

y'all need jesus It helps to make the form stiffer and not bend when you're pressing down on it to form the nail, particularly while patting down a bead with the belly portion of the brush ( I got THAT info from a different nail channel that I watch!). Very lovely product application video.
