5:05 does anyone know how to do make the mask work like that? Like when I hold cntrl it just paints the mask nothing else how do you get it to sculpt the brush stroke the way he has? I used the morph brush and settings the same as his but mine does nothing.
@mick09784 жыл бұрын
Im not an expert when it comes to the morph brush. Ive mostly just started using it. To use the morph brush you 1st need to store a morph target. It's on the right side menu as default. Keep going down by subtools geometry ect until you see moph target, click on it and select the StoreMT button. Then when you sculpt anything you can select the Morph brush and use it to return parts of your mesh to what it was when you stored the morph target. I dont think it works with dynameshed objects though.

You can extract a thin layer off of the base mesh using masks.

Really useful review but it’s hard to view the folds because the texture is too dark.

thanks for the tutorial and brushes. as someone else pointed out, the stitch brush is the only one out of the pack that loads with the corresponding alpha map. any way to remedy this?

Finally cloth, a biggie! Would love to see a video comparing hair creation methods using realistic hair simulation too. I saw on one of your old vids you mentioned xgen. Have you moved on other tools since or is it a go2? I been looking at hairfarm, yeti, ornatrix etc... Really can't say where I should place my bet on. So far most people said Xgen, but idk. Too many options, what would you go for? (perhaps a video would be cool, wouldn't force it if it isn't on plan. Learned quite a bit on this one. Also a nice 1min tut would be a video explain the issue of normal map directions like swizzle coordinates, how people go for unreal +Y vs, maya -Y, tough stuff in a nutshell :D
@DannyMac3d6 жыл бұрын
M4R well I always liked xgen it's insanely powerful because you can so easily use it with conjunction with other hair systems. I tried out a few others but always fell back to xgen (maybe I just didn't want to learn a new system). However now I'm full on Blender, absolutely love it and can't see me going back any time soon :)
@m4r_art6 жыл бұрын
Thanks on the reply, guess I'll focus on XGEN... blender is a very complete software from the looks of it... love how it renders... materials are simpler (not c4d level simple though) don't know for hair, not that many tuts... if only reality was as simple as fibermesh :D

2:10 What I hear: "now before we start going crazy adding folds. it's a good idea to first store a mof-tag" What auto-generated English subtitles hears: "now before we start going crazy in falls, it's a good idea to first storm after game" Pretty sure neither was correct, lol. Most things in British English sound perfectly clear to an English speaker, but some things get lost in the accent. On a side note; I kinda wonder if the algorithm for the KZbin speech to text translator is set on these videos to translate British English to American English, or if it's merely going from American English to American English. That could explain why the translation is so bad. On a side note, on the Julia model, reduce the size of the hands(40%), forearms(20%), hips(10-20%), and lower legs 10-20%) bring up the size of the biceps(30%). That would make it much more accurate. Although I can see the logic behind reducing bicep size (especially with the size of the bust), since making those proportions in close proximity would likely make it nearly impossible to animate without constant collisions (however the other adjustments should be work well with it).

Important! Using Zbrush 2021 ZStartUp is a ReadOnly folder. Any import and then trying to save the project will cause Zbrush to crash! Lost many hours of work like this. Save the brushers somewhere else and reset the brush after using them!

Daniel Lince hmm, can you explain further? Nobody else has said anything so far :/
@DanielLinceDesign6 жыл бұрын
It says: "Error has been encountered while trying to load brush preset. Loading has been aborted". The brush´s preview icon is a "?" on all brushes except the BrushFabricStitches Any idea how to solve this? I tried on my desktop and laptop, no difference

I'm having this problem too. I only can use the BrushFabricStitches correctly, the other brushes won't work. They just create a bump in my model. Help :(
@harborcreative6 жыл бұрын
I have this problem as well with the brushes not loading (except for the stitch brush). I have some of the other brushes from poligon and they load fine. I usually don't use any of the presets anyway, but thought I'd give this a go.
