The presser foot is for Pfaff 1245-706 It is regular one, original with just one toe www.amazon.com/HONEYSEW-Single-Left-Pfaff-Walking/dp/B072VC712W The sealing of seams is useful in certain cases, for instance on motorcycle seats, car top roofs, etc.

Si estamos en un lugar que llueve mucho si funciona esto de sellar con pegamento las 'costuras de unión'. Como indico en las recomendaciones, es aconsejable pasar dos veces el pegamento amarillo y dejar secar bien antes de unir. De todos modos conviene aconsejar al cliente el uso de una 'fundita de plástico extra, sin costuras' para que vaya encima y lo proteja mejor.

El pegamento de poliuretano que se activa con calor después de estar 'seco' se encuentra en las tiendas de artículos para zapateros. Hay diferentes marcas comerciales. Yo tengo que sellar las costuras de un protector de piscina que lo fabrique con lona de poliester reforzado en pvc (la lona que usan comunmente en la cobertura de camiones), le hice costura francesa (flat felled seam ) en las uniones (3 paños unidos), me serviran este pegamento poliuretanico y pegamento amarillo?, de que otra manera se le conoce al pegamento ese amarillo? Vivo en Argentina y lo mas parecido a eso es el cemento de contacto. Saludos Cechaflo, un gusto tus videos !!!

Estimado Baldwin, si puede ser aplicado para algun proyecto de asientos de botes. Es aconsejable pasar dos capas de pegamento amarillo y dejar secar bien para que haga una buena unión. El pegamento de poliuretano es muy fuerte y pega muy bien por la 'cara derecha' del vinil. Este pegamento se se seca y se activa con un poco de calor. Podemos usar un encendedor a cierta distancia también. Los zapateros aconsejar que si lo dejamos secar de un dia a otro el efecto de pegado es mucho mejor al activarlo con el calor. ¡Siempre bienvenido!

Cechaflo, would Titebond woodworking glue work? It is a polyurethane glue. If not, is there a certain polyurethane glue to use?I do marine upholstery with vinyl and do not want any stains come thru the material. Thank you

As I am located in Mexico, I do not know if Titebond glue would be useful to seal marine vinyl. I would recommend you to do some tests to be sure if it works out. The glue I show in this video is used by shoemakers to stick insoles and other parts of shoes and tennis shoes. It has some adhesion to vinyl material. I am still looking for another better adhesive. What is the sealed seams used for....Maybe motorcycle seats?

Yes, for some motorcycle seat covers. It is an option in case of doing a sewing to the seat. The best for these seats is the use of heat pressed pleats or without them and the junctions should be fused with no sewing at all. There are also plastic pipings that by heating them and using some pressure they are melted in the seams. Thanks for watching this video!

My polyurethane coated nylon dry suit delaminated after just three years, not a permanent solution, but I have no solution. Poly dries out continuously then flakes off.
