Awesome video. You really showed exactly how to do this job. It sure does look like a great outcome, so much better results than paying $1,000 for someone to come out and do a quick job. just a few tips if you used a surface cleaner 16inch for a 4gpm pressure washer applied house hold bleach to the surface first that would kill all mold and agley in cracks and make wash time go much quicker, then you get to the sealer phase i recommend using a typhoon v2 back pack by flowzone that will give you a nice flow rate and also speed up time, never want to add sealer with a brush or roller after you re sanded to prevent any loose sand you may have missed from getting in those tools for best results spray the sealer on lightly in figure 8 patters then come back with a second coat it helps hide any over lapping.

Do you have missed the mark completely. You think you know but you don't and it's sad because you waste people's time and money with your pride rather than learning from people like me that have made the mistakes and know exactly how to clean out the joints in an inch to an inch and a half so the polymeric sand will set up properly. Should be fine unless you're trying to apply it while it's raining. Then you may have issues with it adhering to the pavers. If it rained a few hours after application shouldn't be an issue as long as it was warm outside to help dry it.

My area is about 600-700 Sq ft. How many gallons and did you have you had any peeling issues since sealing? Most resources suggest the use of water based but solvent based brings out the color, though it's prone to scaling and peeling. I have the very exact pavers. Did you ever consider using a bit darker sealer (for better color enhancement) or using something more glossy? I'm kinda torn between all these choices. Please advise. Thanks a million.

@@deuceliterthanks for the tip regarding polymeric sand. I had my patio just redone and the polymeric sand washed out after 8 days of clear skies. It cost me around $200 for the one coat of sealer in supplies. It took about 4-5 hours work time including prep work, so just add your labor cost per hour and that should give you a rough estimate. If you are doing it commercially use the polymeric sand for the best results, which cost slightly more.

Polymer will not set up because you are not cleaning the joints out properly. You need a zero-turn to clean the joints out an inch to an inch and a half and get all the old crap out of them so that the polymer can set up not overflowing out of the joints but set up slightly below the top of the paver and then mist it so it'll harden up. 👍

This is the worst thing you can do. Do not add sand clean the joints out properly and reinstall the polymeric. The joints need to be blasted out and cleaned out an inch. All the dirt weeds and everything else that's in the cracks needs to be removed. For the polymer to set up properly what he's doing is a waste of time and it gets you nowhere in the long run. You're going to do the install do the install properly and clean out the joints.
