so essentially she's better if you're really good with neutral and things of that nature. but on the lower skill level end it'll be rough.
@Akaraien2 жыл бұрын
thats a similar conclusion I came to aswell you have to be REALLY smart with how you use tension, maximize meter gain and abuse her broken neutral if you can do all of that and have an insane understanding of pressure and the human mind she is godlike if you don't? L bozo

Man I really appreciate this video! A lot of my old game plans for Gio were messed up because of the last patch but this video has given me a lot of new ideas! Been getting back into street fighter lately too, so this change for Gio might be what I needed for both games 😅

The fact that I've been doing the 6P/2K baits before season 2 because I hated post 214K situations and I get the same pressure on 236K. To top it off Ive had troubles with defensive jumps and dp got bigger and I get P&K buffs for neutral. Its as if Daisuke is omnipresent and designed the patch for me.

For these blockstrings, cS>2S>5H and cS>6H RC, how do you modify your pressure to handle FD pushback?
@trustmyjudgements2 жыл бұрын
if you notice them selecting FD as an option, throw them :) 236K is also strong in this situation as well.
@CamFGC2 жыл бұрын
If you REALLY think they're sleeping, you could also dash cancel 5k and cS
@xin30hp2 жыл бұрын
I used to do cS>2D if I saw them FDing, as its still in range and you can time it to catch prejump frames that would otherwise blow up a dash throw. The math on that is a bit worse now bc its -8 instead of -3 if you don't cancel into 214K, but maybe its just fine to always do the 214K to make it safe after trying to catch the jump
@LegendaryO342 жыл бұрын
@@trustmyjudgements FD only makes fuzzy jumping better since they can delay the jump longer. Sure, if they always choose FD, you can always throw, but FD is not a commitment you can throw punish. You are guessing they will FD and not fuzzy jump... but that's the same as guessing they will block and not fuzzy jump. FD is no more vulnerable to throw than regular block.

I commonly see comments saying "I took everything from this video but I still lost." That is ok. When you go into a match and use a new tool, it is hard to use it in a real situation at the right time, and execute it while you're thinking of 100 things. If you gave a sniper a new gun, do you think they would get a headshot on the first try? Even if they were an expert? What you shouldn't do however, is panic then hit the button that makes you win. It is better to lose, grow, and eventually succeed while learning a better game plan than win from panic scramble/gimmicks that will never carry you higher. Hope this helps 😊

I'm still pretty new at this game and struggling with my current character, thought maybe I would pick up Gio for something different to help me learn some different tools but this honestly makes her sound really intimidating to get into. Very interesting stuff but maybe she's not as beginner-friendly as I'd heard?
@niedoanimowanyrosomak99902 жыл бұрын
She used to be really begginer friendly, now tho shes kinda hard. Id reccomend ky or ino for low levels, ky is the most all-round character you can think of and ino has some tools that mess up new players

Quick question - I have set the training dummy up the same as you for the corner pressure changes (cant do pressure into special anymore because 6p beats it). My 214k is still connecting before the 6p comes out and im still safe? How come this is the case if youre saying this isnt true anymore? Have i misunderstood and its only 214s and 236k that dont work anymore, or is 214k low profiling? Thanks!
