I have the same smoker you should get the thermoworks billow and fan unit to control the temperature for it and maintain it for you. It also gets it up to temperature in around 20 mins

Looking at getting mine in a couple weeks. Make sure to get a longer stem temp gauge.

wait - I have the prototype. what the deal with your door? Its missing its inner lining. I was wondering in another vid why you were suggesting a 4 inch probe. Those of us that were given the first ones for R and D and testing have fully insulated doors. Did you remover it or does it come like that? By the way. I love your work and effort here. For a faster heat up, leave a small crack in the fire door, it needs the oxygen, check out some of my mods I did on the same unit, technician775 old country mods. This is a very good smoker…..
