It always amazes me when i watch shooting teaching how they talk about everything except the actual mechanics of shooting.

#1 under hand release is a steph move only. Not recomended for everyone. 4:15-4:20 says it all right there!!! Magic johnson used to do this sideways running through the lane

Can’t forget, especially with the scoop floater, you gotta get that ball at ‘above rim height’ before it even gets like 4-5 away from your body. That’s the easiest one to block. But all of those shots, they need to be around 15-20 feet in the air at their peak. You need to get about a foot and a half of elevation on the jump and then push it up. Never do any of these shots in an actual game the way he just did them because you’ll get blocked every time. That ball needs to SKYYY
@cavsgang12762 жыл бұрын
It all depends on your height. If you're below 6 feet, then you really need to make it high enough

@goriang48746 жыл бұрын
Hi coach can you make a video on how to use your body to prevent defenders from blocking and being able to get to the rim and finish using your body.
@ThincPROBasketball6 жыл бұрын
That is a great suggestion. We just made a video on how to draw fouls so that might be one that could be useful for you so stay tuned

I'm wondering about the footwork for the two footed floater. If you are shooting right handed do you step right left, with left foot slightly forward? Or are you just hopping into that or what?
